Had a look over a site which had scrapped some content. Oh and btw I really dislike how WP now automatically installs updates. Does anyone know how to (or if you can), disable automatic updates?

I ask because when it updated, it added a new wp-load.php page which over-wrote my ZB Block include file. Meaning my site was unprotected. And now most of my home page has been scrapped.

I've since gone back in and reinstated ZB Block and also had re-write most of my home page content. :mad:

Big thanks to Inspiration for inadvertently pointing the ZB Block issue out.

The site which scrapped me, I checked up on and it was 1'st registered in 2004. My domain was 1'st registered in 2007. I'm not entirely savvy to this but would Google view the 2004 site as being the owner of the content (thinking some strange alog hack)...

The content is 100% mine and written by me. My question though, is about domain age. Just clutching at straws, trying to figure out WHY G would out rank me for my own content, which btw has me as the G+ Publisher and G+ Author.

I don't get how these scrapper sites get ranked high on obviously stolen content... Given the site is G+ Pub and G+ Auth verified.

Age I don't think makes a difference
Freshness bot might also play a factor from what I see.
I have seen a lot of scraped sites with google+.. This could be a factor. (would definitely report the google+ account)

Back a few years ago they used BlogSpot since google does like its own property.. Now it is google+

You can try asking your hosting company. I have several different hosting plans and the sites on c-panel get updated automatically while the others do not. You may be able to ask them to shut off an auto update setting.

The scraper uses an expensive tool to harvest 10-15 words from paragraphs of affiliate sites. I think most of known affiliate sites have been scraped by him by now.

Also online-casino.de has been attacked by him (siteswaps.com is his main page).

Others will find out eventually when their rankings drop significantly as he also uses the strong backlinks of the hacked non gambling sites.

http://www.casino-seo.de/gehackte-unterverzeichnisse/ for more info.

I have seen a .gov site hacked by him and he keeps making more stupid mistakes he will end up in jail where he belongs.

Friends sites of mine also have been scraped big time and they have come to a point that they want to report him to the FBI cybercrime ( ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx ) dept.

It does not matter if he is hiding behind .ru registrar as the FBI will contact the affiliate programs who have his personal details and the only thing they have do is follow the money flow.

I did not have any protection against these malicious bots but now I have installed ZBBlock on some sites and it seems to help.

I'm glad you've finally listen to my reasoning/recommendations and installed ZB Block ;)
Others who want to protect their content and sites from hackers, misbehaving bots, scrappers, comment spammers, script kiddies, anything not Kosher, should also look at ZB Block.

Unless the hacker is in the USA or the webmaster is in the USA, filing a complain here is useless, it wont be accepted!

Extracted from ic3.gov/faq/default.aspx
Q: Can I file a complaint if I have been victimized by an individual or company in the United States, but I am not a citizen of the United States?
If one of the two parties involved is located within the United States, please feel free to file a complaint.

Reporting it to your local police, who then report it to Interpol, is the correct procedure. Problem with this, most local police agencies are clueless to this type of criminal activity. It's how and why these "hackers" get away with it. Unless they get very brazen and start hacking the White House, NASA, FBI web sites, nothing will be done.

A website on my server which was located got hacked. A user went to the site from the US and complained to the FBI. So FBI contacted the hosting provider of my dedicated host. And yes all the FBI has to do is ask permission, in most cases a hosting provider will give even if your on dedicated. Of course they could have forced access but I had no issues with them having access to the data.

Hackers are hacking sites within the US..

How about reporting to 888 which is traded on the stock exchange ?I see verified casinos guy has an exclusive promo with them so for sure they know where they send his pay

Why not report Spin Palace to the UK Gaming Licensing. Think they would like companies associated with this kind of behaviour?

Spin Palace does not have any UK connection - they (Buffalo Partners / Wagershare) are not applying for a remote gaming license from the UK and are dropping out of the UK market.

They appear desperate to get any sort of custom by any means.

Here's a setup guide to help those having install issues:
  1. Download the script - http://www.spambotsecurity.com/zbblock_download.php;
  2. Unzip to folder;
  3. FTP into your site, make a Directory and name it zbblock;
  4. Upload all the files into the zbblock directory, do not upload these files - ZB_Block_Manual.pdf | doc.txt | ZB_Block_Manual_NOTE.txt;
  5. Go to your browser, type in your url EG - YourDomain.com/zbblock/setup.php;
When the setup page loads, you have seven (7) choices to make. But you must only pick one.
  • The following choice will suit most setups;
  • If your hosting on a Windows SII box, pick number 2 box.
  • If your hosting on a Unix box, pick number 7 box.
When you make your choice, (setup2.php) will load. Here the script auto generates the include file which you add to your Wordpress (wp-load.php) file.

Now open the ZB_Block_Manual.pdf (if you haven't already) and follow the instructions.

Agreed. Referback never enforced a HR policy BUT as soon as Buffalo Partners opened on August 1'st 2014, they did.

They've certainly scrapped a LOT of sites.
Which is another reason why, I don't believe, the programs involved, are innocent by-standers.

Even with sophisticated scanning/scrapping tools, it would be a huge task.
BUT if these hackers were supplied with a database of URL's, it would make their life easy. And who has lists of affiliate URL's?

Reiterating, webzcas (Dave S) and I, highlighted the involvement of Spin Palace Group in questionable activities 2 or so years ago. Discredit me all you like BUT my information was backed up by webzcas, both of us were correct, we'd done our homework.

Now we have a similar situation and again Buffalo/Wagershare/Digimedia et al are claiming they are innocent. BS!

It's a waste of time reporting anyone unless you have proof the affiliate program, their casino(s) or Plc is directly involved. Otherwise they'll just claim it's the work of a rogue affiliate. Exactly like they are doing now - the same excuse(s) they give when they're busted spamming!

Does anyone honestly believe Affactive et al have closed these hacking affiliate accounts? I certainly don't.

Least to say, if it's not the programs doing this hacking, then my guess, they are working along-side these hackers, who are doing the dirty-work for them!

These hackings reduce, what these programs, have to pay-out in commissions. Keep that in-mind ;)

Yes and no. They have Spin Casino? Which is the UK based site now of Spin Palace Casino.
