According to an email sent to its affiliates, online casino and sports betting platform redbet has made the decision to cease all operations in the UK from 13.00 GMT on October 27th 2021.

The email explains that all bonus funds must be used before this date while any outstanding balances can be withdrawn up until the 26th November 2021.

The email can be read in full below.

We regret to inform you that ‘redbet’ has taken a decision to cease operating in the UK.

We will soon be suspending the accounts of all residents of the UK, including England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. From October 27th at 13:00 GMT, you will no longer be able anymore to use our products.

You have until the date above to complete the wagering requirements on any bonus funds you have in your account. After this date, any bonus funds remaining will be forfeited. Please note that you will still be able to withdraw any outstanding balance at any time until November 26th 2021. To do so, please visit our website. Redbet was founded in 2002 as a subsidiary of Evoke Gaming and launched its online operations in 2004. Since then, the company has launched its betting products across multiple markets including Denmark, the UK, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

The brand is now controlled by Mr Green following the company’s €7 million takeover of Evoke Gaming AB in 2018.

No reason has been given as to why the brand will cease operations in the UK although there are no indications that a similar action will be taken in other markets. Mr Green has yet to comment on the decision.

They stopped affiliates sending them UK players about 18 months ago, so although you could sign up and play directly if you are a UK resident, affiliates were advised not to send UK players. I guess it was the prelude to this happening.
