Three Rank Group-owned casino operators will pay £5 million following a UK Gambling Commission investigation into anti-money laundering and social responsibility failures.
Grosvenor Casinos Limited, Grosvenor Casinos (GC) Limited, and Gaming Group Limited, operating 51 casinos across Great Britain, must also undergo an independent audit.
Investigators identified inadequate risk assessments, insufficient customer due diligence, and failures to intervene when customers experienced significant gambling losses.
One customer lost £50,000 without receiving a safer gambling intervention, while another lost approximately £250,000 over 12 days.
The entire settlement will go to the Government's Consolidated Fund, with regulators emphasizing compliance across land-based casinos.
