Hello there fellow affiliates. New to the site here, so please be kind if this question is already asked by someone else. So the question is this: I have a website which has been made recently (no i won't share it) which specializes in sharing information about online casinos, educating the users about many things about casinos, blogs and even a forum for the users. But here is my question. Do you guys know if promoting online casinos is legal in Europe? Have you had any problem with certain countries? And of course have you had any problem with the country you are established? ( probably with the gaming authority of the country you reside?) In my country i was stunned to see that the affiliates that promote online casinos that have the country's gaming commissions license are obliged to only promote these and nothing else (we are talking about 8-9 casinos haha) and lately i have seen that the gaming commission where i reside, created a website where the users can add casino affliates in the blacklist that promote casinos not licensed by. So what does that mean? seems pretty odd and unfair to me.

To be completely safe, I believe that you should only list online casinos that have been granted licences, approvals or permissions by their local regulatory bodies. Since all gambling legislation in European countries is based on a national level. Some, on the other hand, allow foreign operators to provide business to their citizens, while others don't care much about it. However, I believe that very soon, perhaps within a few years, all casino websites that do not have legal licencing, as well as affiliate sites that promote these sites, will begin to be blacklisted/blocked.

For now, the most important point, I think, is the way you're presenting those other (unlicensed) operators to players in specific countries. The best way to find out about what you can/can't do is by visiting their authorities and with a translator read the info. Otherwise, you can easily get misled as even law firms in English very often show different outdated crap.

Well here is the thing. For example promoting bitstarz casino. I just inform the players about the welcome bonus there is and write an honest review about it. (type like askgamblers or casino guru) I'm asking because there are many website that promote online casinos without basically anything and I really wonder how they keep going.

Promoting to who, what countries and on what language website? On an English lang site, if the worst happens you may get fewer probs potentially than promoting it on the site in a native language to players in countries where it is illegal. For example, on a Dutch website telling about how good this casino is along with click here and play there. I guess it's worth also noting that it does not mean that something that works for one will work for everyone (ask gamblers etc).

Well of course English website I really think that the best way is to promote the website. I don't promote it in the native language in the country I reside.
How do you promote yours? Do make a geo target analysis? And how does it work for you?
