Officials in Poland have made a formal statement that citizens playing on an unlicensed online casino operator are violating the law so that it will impose a financial punishment. The penalty could be worth $1.1 million and could be applicable for the citizens gambling abroad as well. Poland aims to handle accessing an unlicensed online casino as an illegal act and to protect the industry that supplies a beneficial income of tax.

It has been several years now when this inadequate law destroys gambling and sports betting industry in Poland. The thing is Tax Authorities are really chasing people that are playing but I also heard affiliates are having problem - even an employees of affiliates are being called to testify in that matter. That is completely sick.

I don't know about casinos, but the bookmaker market in Poland is sick after the gambling law.
Turnover tax, low rates, etc. I used to count that, including taxes and high margins, the rate for an event is 50/50, which, for example, for an Asian bookmaker is 1.93 - 1.93. In Poland it is 1.56 - 1.56.
