What's the most important parameters for you:

  1. Payments on time
  2. Generous deals and commission
  3. Communication with your affiliate manager
  4. High PV
  5. Affiliates T&Cs

Well, everything :) But maybe the most important things for me are regular payments and proper communication with affiliate managers.

Yeah, pretty much as above ;)

With the addition of:
6. Don't retroactively make the affiliate's deal worse without their agreement, like these did, for example...
Ladbrokes
Will Hills
Sky Vegas
Buffalo
Videoslots
10 Bet
32Red
etc, etc...

Probably conversions and retention number one.. nothing worst than sending hard earned traffic to non converting programs

Same. The worse thing is a program saying they convert well, but when you ask some simple questions it's clear they have no idea about how to convert and retain the niche traffic you could send them.

Sadly this seems true of most of the small casinos. Only larger programs seem to employ the sort of specialist staff needed to support the traffic I send.

All processes need to be in check for the partnership to work long-term. Good communication and autonomy with budget and bonuses will then set the operator apart from the rest.

I'd say it's a mix of all the above.

However, if there's no communication then there will be no channel for proper growth and scaling...personally, I'd say communication makes the difference in case of similar results (conversion, player value, deal..)

I'd say it all starts from "does this casino look like it is/can be successful?". There's no point in having a sweet deal or payments on time if the casino doesn't generate enough interest for those to be relevant factors. Of course, this can lead to getting burned via retroactive changes, but there's always the risk of getting burned one way or another.
