South Africa's online gambling sector has seen a significant surge in revenue, now reaching R75 billion, prompting concerns over its rapid growth. Experts warn that the rise in online gambling could lead to increased addiction and financial issues, particularly as more individuals, including vulnerable groups, turn to mobile platforms for gambling. Despite this, the government has been slow to introduce effective regulations to control the industry's expansion. This growing market continues to raise alarms about its long-term social and economic impacts, with calls for stricter measures to protect consumers from harmful gambling behaviors.

Another geo with more regulations incoming. South Africa is actually very good for revenue. Give it a year and the beauracrats will have their way. All corrupt too. Government smash and grab on gambling taxation, because no one can complain about regulating something perceived as "bad" for people
