Well,

Where do I start, I don't want be horrible (its just not me), but I don't want to be nice either.

So firstly, this post here is where it should start:

https:// www. affiliateguarddog. com/forums/providing-id-documents-affiliate-programs-t3133.html

Right, well it started from my post 2 days ago regarding my stolen content or 'atolen' as I type it :

https:// www. affiliateguarddog. com/forums/atolen-content-t3277.html

Ok, so basically I found a site that had ripped of my review and posted it, I was not happy about it, and also not being in a great mood that day, I wrote an email demanding it be removed, maybe a little hard in the wording, but was in a bad mood anyway.

I posted here and at GPWA as the link above, I also in turn contacted the affiliate manager at the program to let them know, which they said they would look into it.

The other site who had my content then emailed me and told me that he was given this content by his account manager, *cough* spilt my drink was my reaction. I Skyped with them and told them what I found out and that this is not acceptable.

Heres the extract from our conversation:

[18:27:19] Stiletto Poker: hi
[18:27:45] Scot Lester: is this the same person I spoke to earlier?
[18:27:51] Stiletto Poker: yes
[18:27:56] Scot Lester: who is this?
[18:28:08] Stiletto Poker: its Stephanie from support
[18:28:34] Scot Lester: Hi, Stephanie, I have been emailing with the owner of the site who has copied my content
[18:30:06] Scot Lester: and he informs me that he got the content from ''##''' from you place, I am not happy with this at all, can you please see why this happened, as this is not an ethical thing to do.
[18:30:56] Stiletto Poker: I will tell the manager to speak to you directly...he should be here soon
[18:31:00] Stiletto Poker: will you be online?
[18:31:10] Scot Lester: I will be here yes, thanks
[18:31:21] Stiletto Poker: he should be here any minute
[18:51:25] Stiletto Poker: hi scot
[18:51:27] Stiletto Poker: its ';';';'#''#;
[18:51:45] Stiletto Poker: support just notified me that there are some issues with content and artices of stiletto
[18:52:51] Scot Lester: No, theres no issues of content with and articles of Stiletto, the issue is #';'#'#' has given another affiliate of yours my content to use on there website, with find completely wrong
[18:53:17] Scot Lester: sorry which I find completely wrong
[18:53:23] Stiletto Poker: ok correct
[18:53:32] Stiletto Poker: did support notify you that we will check what happened
[18:53:42] Stiletto Poker: i assume that it was a mix up with our archive
[18:54:22] Scot Lester: They said they would find out what has happened, why would my article be on your archive?
[18:54:41] Stiletto Poker: all of the online atrticles on affilates are stored
[18:54:47] Stiletto Poker: of course they are realted to my company
[18:54:58] Stiletto Poker: so of course we store them for our record and for leagal reasons

I have not heard of another program doing this and even if they did which they would not, how did it get mixed up? I really don't believe this.

I then received an email this morning, subject: unacceptable behavioral, saying that I have put them and affiliates in bad light and basically remove all content relating to them and they are closing my account down.

Which I don't care about, as I was doing this today anyway.

Just to clarify, I have now sorting this out with the fellow affiliate in question and all is OK between us. and have said so in both forums. This affiliate did not steal my content.

I can only assume as I did not bad mouth Stiletto in any of my forum posts at all in any way, that one reason they mention about me putting them in a bad light (I repeat, which I cannot see anywhere) is that "maybe" something unethical may have been happening! but without knowing how things work in some places I cannot say it has or has not.

There is probably more, but I cannot be bothered with it now, so this is a warning to any affiliate wanting to deal with Stilettopoker, I am not saying don't deal with them, but if you don't want your unique content being archived with the chance of being "mixed" up with other content that maybe passed to other sites then I would make sure you check your dealings thoroughly.

So, I will not be dealing with them anymore this is just my view.

So let me get this straight...

Stilettopoker.com took an artice of yours and gave it to another affiliate, then when caught they terminate you.

This is ROGUE behavior and should not be allowed to go unrewarded.

If they will STEAL your article... they will STEAL your money.

These guys need to be on some Rogue lists...

That is totally messed up !! Thanks for bringing this stuff up. How do they have a list of articles that don't belong to them and ever give them out to anyone?

He should have just given you one back from his "special original" article database. Sounds pretty much full of shi$# to me.

Even by their own logic it fails miserably, which (to me) simply means that this was a very poorly crafted lie.

If (for some stupid reason) they decided to log content relating to their brands from their affiliates.... why would they EVER go into that content and hand it over to another affiliate?

This is alarming stupidity, IMO. I don't see why an affiliate would promote them at all after something like this. Why take the chance?

Hi all,

Agree with everyone.
It's beyond stupidity. It's idiotic and only something an idiot wrapped in a moron would do.

If I can get more info on this I'll write an article over at dodgy online casino history, this Stiletto Poker sure needs red lighting for this!

Cheers

Hi Ukpoker,

You did not put them in a bad light.

They put themselves in a bad light! The worst part wasn't the original mistake of stealing your content, but how they decided to resolve the problem.

Totally agree...

So far this is nominated as one of the most stupid actions I have seen this year... makes me laugh.
