Hi all,

Today I have launched a new slots site! ;D

If you have a few minutes, please check it out and let me know what you think. ;D

At the top, you should see your country listed in the menu. The country you are in right now should be the first one shown, just to the right of the "New Slots" link. (You'll see a few more countries there, too, in addition to your own.)

If that is not the case, or if you notice anything that looks strange, please let me know. Thanks! ;)

Very nice, good job :)
If i were you i would do the Cypriot section in Greek.

And good thinking about Cyprus, they love to gamble but its not legal here.....so promoting the Brands who will accept them was very smart decision :)

I hope this site will be strong!

All the best.

Ahh, very very nice!
Yes I also love the mouse over effect,
Site looks very clean and easy!
But hey, I like all your sites, I wish I would be just half as good in creating such a site like you.

Good luck with your new site :)

They keep kicking me out of the SERPS :)

Just kidding around... it is a good site and of course will do well in the damn search engines ;) Good work!

looks great. I'm doing the same thing with hovers on a new site as well.
just figured I'm mention it so you didn't think I stole your idea with I go live.

Dave's sites are among my top favourites, they are so clean and easy to navigate, this new site kicks ass too lol.

I'm jealous....

I like it too.

I suspect that your menu is geotargetted, which should help convert too. That was pretty slick.

Your mouse over code for the slots were awesome too.

One suggestion, is that you might want to consider a "call to action" on your homepage. I couldn't see a "play here now", or another incentive to click and go play.

Great site.
Cheers!

Dave, what script are you using for the geotargeting?
Does it slow down the site (I didn't experience it though) or is it running fast? I guess it is coming from a database.

How do you handle SE bots? They will get the UK/US version?
I always wondered how this kind of geotargeting is solved that the search engines don't take it as "you show something else to visitors than SEs".

The US-based SEs will see the US version, yes. The only difference is the order of the links at the top of the page. Google will see USA, Canada, UK, and Australia (in that order). Other countries besides the USA will see their country first, followed by the others. SEs will probably not have a problem with something like this because it is actually useful for the visitor (not malicious or spammy in any way).

I use the free Maxmind IP database at maxmind.com; my scripts are all custom-built, though. The geotargeting itself is lighting fast -- you'd never know the difference. However, sorting through the available slot machines can take up to take a few seconds, depending on the country. This is because subqueries are required to get the proper games to appear. First find a new slot, then find out if there are any casinos offering that slot that also accept players from the visitor's country. This varies from casino to casino; it isn't simply a matter of saying "all XYZ software casinos accept or block players from this country." Plus, slots are sometimes launched in phases, so the script needs to make sure the slot is actually available at a valid casino before showing it. This loops through until there are 12 slots available; then the script ends and everything is displayed. ;)
