New affiliate website on a drop domain: yes or no?

As I know most of affiliates are doing SEO to get organic traffic from search engines. And my question is related to SEO.
Which way is better when you are planning to begin with a new af: to register a new domain and start working on the website or it's better to buy a drop

Impossible to answer as it depends on so many factors. Like the brand value, the existing backlinks to the drop, etc.
