The National Gambling Support Network has assisted over 110,000 individuals since its inception, with self-referrals increasing by 50%. This network, established by GambleAware, comprises various third-sector treatment providers across Great Britain, offering free, confidential support to those affected by gambling harms. The initiative emphasizes early intervention and a regional-first approach, aiming to provide timely and appropriate support tailored to individual needs. The involvement of individuals with lived experience of gambling harms has been central to the network's design, ensuring that the services are accessible, proactive, and representative of those affected.

Incredible to see the real impact behind the numbers — 110,000+ people reached and a 50% increase in self-referrals is no small feat. Hats off to GambleAware and the entire National Gambling Support Network for putting real action behind the buzzwords.

As affiliates, we often sit at the crossroads of entertainment and risk. It's easy to get caught up in CTRs and CRs, but updates like this are a necessary reminder: responsible gambling isn't just a banner in the footer — it's part of the funnel.

Might be time for us to think not just about optimizing conversions, but also optimizing access to help — clear RG links, better visibility for self-exclusion tools, and messaging that doesn’t pretend “big wins” are just a few spins away.
