On the September 15, Microgaming is implementing a new Promotional Spend Policy. The key change is that operators can now offer a maximum 30% Loyalty Bonus. This cap refers to how much affiliates and operators can spend on Rake Races and limits the First Deposit Bonus.

Microgaming comments: As part of the overall strategy to improve the Network ecosystem and attract recreational players, from September 15, the Microgaming Poker Network is releasing a new Promotional Spend Policy that has been designed for the acquisition and retention of recreational and advanced players alike. It is anticipated that the changes will be hugely popular with players.

Anders Karlsen, Poker Manager at Nordic Gaming, which operates the NordicBet, TrioBet and Tobet brands, elaborates: "With the new Loyalty Bonus we treat all players equally so everyone gets the chance to be rewarded. Bearing in the mind the competitiveness of the poker business we feel this is the right step towards rewarding both recreational as well as more hardcore players. Placing a cap on Rake Races, for instance, is a requisite in preventing additional rakeback and prize war.
