Linking your Own website

Hey,
I have a few websites each within their own niche.
Casino, Slot, Roulette and Blackjack.
#they are all under my name so google knows very well that the same person owns them (figured that was no need to try to separate them as google will find out anyways eventually)

So I read a lot of contrary articles. Don't send links between them you will be penalized. Use what you have and have them send links to each other etc...

I also read that you should send outgoing links from your website to authoritative sites - that it will actually benefit your site. Agreed?

So I was thinking - of course I want send links left and right from one to another - that what if I do an informative, helpful casino article from my slot site to my casino site. and then I do a 'great' :) slot article on my casino site and send it to my slot site. Wouldn't that be natural and wouldn't that benefit both sites?
Holding all thing equal. yes...no...

and should I do the link on just the domain name? or would it be better to it on a casino and slot keyword that I want to rank for... or is that more risky.

Finally, now consider that both sites have a similar link building structure (they are getting links from many of the same places). Could this then be a problem

Would really appreciate a dialogue on this :)

Thanks!

I would ask me at first one question: makes it a sense? can I deliver something more to my users?
If yes, just do it. I don´t believe that Google penalties interlinking between domains in the same ownership perse.

One example. A couple of days ago I had nothing to do and start exploring the Catena North-America Network. It's no news that they own a couple of pretty nice and busy domains like:
playusa.com, playnj.com, thelines.com, legalsportsreport.com, njonlinecasino.com, paonlinecasino.com ... it could fill a book.

Most of the domains with open whois records and same postal contact address. No try to hide something.
And they linking like hell between sister sites. From one useful article to the next through the half network.
But it makes always sense and delivers pretty, pretty good content to the user.

Google has a theory and how it goes in reality.

In theory, linking between your own website = penalty. In reality, it's clearly not. I see websites ranking with some kind of PBN of websites with 3 pages of content. For sure, someday Google wakes up.

Outgoing links are ok. A website with 0 outgoing links doesn't look very natural. If you're encouraging people to get natural links, people putting those links should be rewarded somehow.

I believe in authoritarian outgoing links, but:

- not an important keyword in the anchor;
- to websites with authority;
- there are enough authoritarian websites, hence it's not necessary to help direct competitors. But I do link to affiliate websites having their focus on different markets.

Authority does not mean my slot webpage with 4 slot reviews, registered in 2018 and called something like bestnew2018onlineslotmachinesreviews.xyz or something like that. I used to link to NetEnt for example, until they put affiliate links or Wikipedia-pages.

Google (well, Matt Cutts) has said in the past that linking between sites you control is fine provided a) it's relevant and b) it's within reason.

I can't remember the exact quote but it's on one of those GWT videos from a few years ago after pengiun first hit.

I think that it'd better for you don't link your websites at all and try maybe to submit some articles and so on.

never heard anyone being able to rank on google in a competitive industry without links. How did you do it?
