Ladies Make one-third of US Sports Bettors

As sports betting is progressing promptly, more US states are getting legalized, that is why the number of female bettors is increasing. The recent study has demonstrated that even one-third are women. It is discovered that the women are more concentrated on social sport betting, wagering on important social venues and predicting encouraging results. The operators will have to prepare various promotions to increase the female audience.

I call bullshit on this study.

I have seen many "female" accounts though... created by guys who self-banned themselves, or were banned for chargebacks, or wanted to double dip on promotions, who signed up using their wife, girlfriend, mother, and even grandmother's name/address!

I once had an affiliate manager tell me he was surprised how an 87 year old woman played so much online poker. Furthermore, how she appeared to be a winning player with an aggressive style and a penchant for mutli-tabling...

It seems hugely unlikely based on my interaction with men and women around sports teams, sports events, and sports betting.

According to analytics - visitors to my site (which is mainly sports betting - but does have some poker / casino reviews) reporting shows 77% male and 22% female - with the males slightly more active as well.

Being a woman I am going to have to disagree with this as well. I find more ladies enjoy slots, video poker etc. Just go to a local sports betting site in a casino and you will see mostly men.

Agreed. I ran a slots promo a few years back, which was aimed more towards females. The target market wasn't clearly obvious, hence it still attracted males. However, after 2 months the ratio between females and males was approx 3:1, and that's pretty much how it stayed.

I find that hard to believe for sports. For bingo, and online casino, ladies make up a big part of the market but I have found sports to be mostly males.
