In July 2023, Michigan saw a notable increase in online sports betting and casino gambling revenue, with a rise of 18.8% compared to the same month in 2022, and a 4% increase from the previous month, June 2023. Online casinos contributed $153.6 million, a 21.3% increase from 2022, and online sports betting generated $22.5 million, up by 4.2% from last year, but with a slight decline in the betting handle. Adjusted gross receipts, which account for promotional spending, also rose by 17.8%, reaching $154.6 million in total for iGaming and sports betting, contributing to a positive trend after previous months of decline.
