The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) has published comprehensive licensing guidelines to help operators prepare for the new regulatory framework set by the Gambling Regulation Act 2024. These guidelines outline a seven-step application process, including the requirement for a Notice of Intention to be submitted 28 days before a full application. The GRAI will begin accepting applications for Business-to-Consumer (B2C) licenses later this year, with a fully regulated market expected by 2026. Operators are advised to comply with current laws until the new system is fully implemented.
