Hi all,

I have sent afew players to a site, not many and i know of 2 players that have registered through my links but do not show up in my stats, it still says no registered players, i know 1 did not deposit but surely it would show up in the stats right?

It actually saddens me to think they want you to help them yet cant be honest about it, im not going to mention the site as im going to test it afew more times but i read about this all to often and this is an accredited site. This has happened to me only once so far and yet if there accredited then affiliates pushing affiliates there direction also lose out right? So why still accredited?

You need to contact your affiliate manager there and find out what the issue is

This type of thing happens all the time, with almost every program. Some players are going to go missing.

Sometimes it may be due to player fraud or similar problems, sometimes the player may appear later if everything checks out. If you contact the affiliate program they should be able to tell you why a player isn't in your stats.

Sometimes it's because the link code on your site isn't 100% correct, it's a very common problem. You should get your affiliate manager to check.

I have to ask, how do you know these 2 players signed up through your links?

You describe yourself as an amateur, and unfortunately in my experience when a beginner says they definitely know that specific people signed up through their links and deposited, it often ends up being a problem with 'bonus abuse' from those players.

I was running 100+ casino sites for years without personally knowing if even 1 single player had signed up and deposited. Of course I saw them signing up and depositing in my stats, but if I hadn't see the stats I wouldn't have known. I had many thousands of visitors and clicks over the years, but I could never say "I know someone definitely signed up with my link and deposited".

On the other hand you have a relatively new site and yet you already definitely know that 2 people signed up and deposited through your links. When I've read posts like this in the past, the signups turned out to be friends of the webmaster, or signups from advertising bonuses on forums. In these cases the signups had no intention of being regular casino customers, they just signed up to take advantage of the bonuses.

Of course in that case they should still show up in your stats, but in my experience the affiliate programs can be quick to 'scrub' obvious bonus players or 'friends of the webmaster' who just signed up for testing - for example if you have a new site and they can see that only a few people have clicked through and those same people signed up and those same people deposited, it's not realistic - there would usually be a higher proportion of clicks without signups, and a higher proportion of signups without deposits.

Also if the IP of these signups are from the same geographic location as the webmaster, again it indicates being friends in real life, which technically is allowed but obviously affiliate programs want webmasters to promote to the whole market, not just a few friends, so these can be 'scrubbed' from the stats.

You'd be surprised how smart and how quickly some of the programs can be at seeing irregular activity.

This is just my personal opinion based on what I've seen over the years, it may not apply in this case

I agree that it is difficult to know your players in most cases and, even when you do, stats take time to update (with some affiliate programs). I've seen stats only update when players deposit, stats only updating every 24-72 hours, all sorts of stuff. Be patient or talk to your affiliate manager. Any good AM will resolve this quickly.

sometimes it really happens due to some system error or other errors, it happens to me also when i'm pulling out some records..so basically i agree to Casey that you need to contact an affiliate manager because as a manager we will figure that out what is really happening on your account..

Yes, it was a link i put on facebook that doesnt work, ohwell you live and you learn.

I don't want to be difficult, but if you know for a fact that you brought in those depositing players and know who they are, a good affiliate program should be able to tag them to your account even if your Facebook link wasn't quite right. Have another chat with the affiliate manager and see if that is possible.
