iAffiliates contacts my hosting provider

I am used to get emails from affiliate programs asking me to promote their brands. That is understandable. Although if I write them "No, thanks" they will ask me again in a couple of days/weeks, so I don't reply anymore at all.

I received an email from my hosting provider telling me iAffiliates has contacted them regarding promotion.

I am called by Tali from the company Iaffiliates and she ask my friendly
to ask you to promote her product for your site xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com.

Unfortunately I told her that we can not provide info to her so I hope
you do not mind.

Is iAffiliates that desperate to gain new affiliates?

My guess is they went on whois or something and thought your hosting details were your details and sent them an email/phoned them. They probably initially thought the details were yours.. then while they were there they thought they may as well leave a message lol

iAffiliates are one of the worse affy-spamming companies I have ever known!
I had loads of moronic "please work with us" e-mails when I was ALREADY promoting them.
I think they hire idiots and just ask them to e-mail any affys they can find without doing an ounce of research first.
This is just one of the reasons I dumped them. (A strong suspicion that they shave was another...)
