Hi Guys,
I'm a newbie that wants to build an English Casino Affiliate site. I have 2 issues that I can't decide what to do.

1. I don't know to which English speaking country should I focus. Do you think it is good to buy a .com domain or I should buy a uk, nz etc domain?

2. Which English speaking countries you would recommend me to focus on?

Thank you very much!

Hey ;) You have very interesting questions. First of all, I will tell you one thing. Build profitable and ranking (serp) English affiliate website is really hard. It's not gonna take you half a year, year, it's gonna take you years before you will start raking. Sure it depends on your budget. You can start a big media advertisement + hire an agency for marketing, etc... but that's gonna cost you a lot of money. So maybe you should think about it once again and think wisely.

Let's get back to your questions.
1. I think that your situation would be best to focus on the country where's the weakest competition. If you want to rank in UK or USA, it's gonna be really hard. So maybe would be better to focus on African countries. About the domain - I think that nowadays people mostly buy .com domains, but for example (my opinion) if you would like to run a website in Poland, it's better to have .pl domain because people trust you more.

2. It depends on your research. How strong is your competition in the countries? Is there a lot of people who play slots? It's a lot of questions for which I don't know the answers, so I can't tell you.

I wish you good luck in your affiliate business, but be careful and think about your steps wisely ;) Have a nice day.

Thanks for your help. I'm aware that UK and USA is very hard and takes a lot of time.. What about CA and NZ ? I don't feel comfortable about working in a language that I don't know.. That's why I want to build English sites.

Have a great day :)

Don't be like Pinkie and the Brain in their quest for world domination. Try a niche market to start off with and see how you progress from there. Which niche market I hear you ask? Most affiliates would consider that information a "trade secret". ;)
If you are going to focus on a specific country use a .co.uk or .co.nz etc. type tld.

Do NOT use a NZ registered site if you are going to promote internet gambling specifically to New Zealand citizens.
It's illegal and COULD be shut down if the domain is within easy reach.

(NZ Govt is not very active in this space and cannot reach offshore - but local websites would be an easy target)

What theGooner has said is not exclusive to NZ as well. A lot of countries have the exact same scenario, so keep that in mind.

On the side note I'm a bit confused why these threads are popping more often these days with people waiting for other people, yes colleagues but also competition, to give them the green light :D

I mean obviously you are willing to start your own website, you should have a bit of leadership characteristics in you.

Did you know that when theGooner started, if he would've asked this question, the reply would have been: "There's no such thing as casino affiliate. Come back in 3 years when we open our affiliate programs" (exaggerating a bit but.. :D )
