I always *want* to create more and more websites with all the ideas I have. I also think about the small niche websites pointing back to a main website.

What does everyone else do? What is effective? Here are thoughts I have had:

1. Create a network of tiny sites pointing back with keywords to my main site

2. Create one or two massive websites instead and sell all my minor ones

3. Win the lottery

What is your goal in this regard and how is it working for you.

Right now:

I have about 20 websites and only a couple are updated frequently :(

I currently have 2 sites. I try to make them big, authority sites.
The sites are new and I don't know how would they perform compared to many smaller sites. But I decided to make big sites because I think that players trust more larger sites then smaller sites.
Big sites look like they are done by someone who knows what he's talking about, and that builds trust. And trust leads to better conversions (I hope so ;D).

I'm going for the one or two authority sites now.

It's my personal opinion that authority websites will become of more and more value going into the future.

Thanks Andy for the fun post!

It varies from site to site and depends on what the goals are for each of them. I have sites that do pretty well in google but the ones I enjoy most are the ones I put my personality in to.

I try to make it fun and get to know my visitors on a personal level and give them a reason to come back. Open up a personal line of communication if they need help or just want to talk. I try to make sure I follow through with any promises or special promotions I make for them. In the end you get to know the players, they get to know you and trust and frienships are built.

I think it takes a good combination of both for webmaster to be successful.

Have a fantastic week everyone and wish you the best this year!

I currently have 6 active, 3 dormant and URLs registered for a further 10.

I thought it would be a great idea to create sites for specific topics; more sites = more visitors, e.g:
SlotBeaters.com
RivalGamingSlots.com

However, all my "specialist" sites have been damp squibs really... :(
KasinoKing.co.uk gets more than twice the visitors of SlotBeaters and 10 times more than any of the others. Though that could be because there is loads more content on it... ?
As for sign-ups; well at least 9 out of 10 come from KK.

I definitely plan to get a few more up and running - my massive problem is finding the time... I can't even seem to get round to updating my current sites - I really need to do that before I start making any new ones.

Gambling wise I have around 15 websites. Of these only 2 are full of content. The rest are smaller sites, with particular niches.

I plan though to bring on a third main site later in the year and also redevelop Betsage which has been neglected for a couple of years.

The plan is by the end of the year to have 4 main sites and around 30 niche smaller sites.

I currently have 2 sites & own a third domain (will only use the 3rd domain if that sector of online gambling becomes more popular)

I have so many ideas of things I want to do with existing domains but not enough time to do them, couldnt envisage working on any more sites atm

I have one fully developed site and am working on a second one, BaccaratAffiliate.com. The goal is to turn the second website into a niche site.

I have two larger sites, that I get 95% of my traffic from. Then I have about 20 one page sites I get targeted hits here and there.

ONE of my sites, is a 1 page site that for a while, made me a lot of $ as no one else targeted that keyword, but since it has lost ranking as larger sites started using that keyword but for a few months it had a good run and made a few thousand.

So trying to copy that method, I have a bunch of smaller sites, but they dont help much.

Really the more sites you have, the more you run thin on content, links, and time in general.

I vote for 2 larger sites, but I seem to be addicted to buying domain names for some unknown reason.

For gambling I only have one main site and I'm in the process of developing a bunch of supporting sites to point back to it. Time consuming though!

I've got about 20 sites, with one really large one that accounts for a lot of the current traffic and a nice chunk of earnings. However, the other smaller ones rank well and earn cash from the rooms I push and blog post packages I sell on em occasionally.

I've got about 6 main active sites, and a handful more i'm still developing. I love the idea of having lots of sites that each make money, but the more sites you have, the more work you have to do. It almost becomes endless too because there is no limit to how many you can make, or how many keywords you can try to catch. The best idea is probably to have 5 main sites, and 10 other sites that are smaller and very basic.

20+ sites

Iwe got about 20+ active sites with mainly poker/casino/betting
but only about 5 of them are updated every week.
Ofcource one main site that is updated multiple times every day since google seems to love the content there :)

The strategy is to have great domain names registered and when some keywords are popular, add hosting, make content 24/7 a few days and just
chill back till its indexed and if it gets many hits, its updated atleast once a week otherwice its waiting for the right time to grow

I have 6 websites related to gambling, but I am unhappy with my hosting server, I am in search of a web host that is fast and accept casinos. There are several hosting that do not accept gambling content, so it is very difficult to get a hosting for this type of content.

I've got 100's of URLs just sitting there doing nothing except waste money... we're talking a serious hoarder, everything from .me, .casino, .bet, .review etc etc all gambling related.

Each one a planned project, non started.

I've had a few sites in the past which have died as Google evolved.

However, I've been re-inspired after reading about CasinoWhizz over at GPWA so have set up a new site with a couple more on the way; using some of my URL hoard.
