I don't know about you - but especially in the last year or so AGD has been very helpful in our selection of programs to promote. When I see a manager participate here, it means a lot to me. It's a sign that the manager really cares and is looking for ethical affiliates to market their property.
In addition to steering me to good programs, AGD has saved me lots of valuable time and has become my own personal T&C analyzer. Do you have the time to read every T&C at every program you sign up to just to have them close 3 months down the road?
How many of you get letters on a daily basis from Affiliate managers trying to get placement on your website? How many of you are too busy to deal with 80% of them?
I have started doing something that I think will really help AGD. Here is my plan:
When I don't have time for a program which emailed me, I let them know I am willing to work with them if they get vetted at AGD first. Sample letter:
This actually seems MUCH better than seals on websites, which in my opinion although they may help for branding to a small degree, don't do much for getting participation at a site.
Emails with these types of statements to programs actively trying to engage us must be the best type of promoting we could do for AGD. And it doesn't require a link from your site or nothing.... so why not throw some bones to the dogs?
Now Andy, if you don't like this speak up. (I'm a true supporter here, I don't work for AGD) ....

Now, I just want a Guard Dog icon, gonna rip one off the site here Andy, so I can include AGD logo on my email correspondence. What better way can we show our support and help get programs over here for Andy?Hi Judit,
We do our best to only go with partners certified with Affiliate Guard Dog. Please make sure your terms are certified and then we will consider participation.
To my knowledge this is free to have done, you just need to get in touch with Andy at: PARTNERS @at@ AFFILIATEGUARDDOG.COM furnish him with your T&C's etc. After this is done, please contact me for getting into our directory.
Best regards,
