I just received an email from Frank Tornatore that Grosvenor Casino no longer supports its affiliate program. From the looks of things it seems like they stole the players we send them.

''Well the company simply does not believed in the affiliate program does not finance it nor promoted,
I was inform yesterday that they not longer will finance me nor the program by any other means.
The line Director simply does not believed in affiliates , and is not longer been budget .Sorry but is been a bad experience for us all.''

Regards

What the heck!

I'd like to say I'm surprised but from the whole BlueSq thing I guess we should have realised that Rank aren't particularly affiliate friendly.

I don't actually promote them atm myself (although I do pick up Grosvenor related traffic on my UK B&M site) but that's mainly because I hadn't gotten around to it yet (good old procrastination at work).

I eliminated anything to do with Rank after they stole my BlueSq players and sold them to Betfair. I do get the odd call from them, but tell them they're fraudsters and hang up. Don't advertise anything to do with Mecca, Grosvenor etc, you'll only get robbed in the future.

Just goes to show you that a successful land-based casino doesn't necessarily have the resources to pull off an affiliate program. At times it can be very misleading. Honestly I think many affiliates have been shaved. You fool me once...

I don't think it's about having the resources to pull it off, I think it's about top brass not understanding the potential benefits of an affiliate program and so not giving it a decent go. Something that is probably quire common among older offline brands.

I stand corrected I think a more aptly word for ''resources'' should have been patience.

I've work for Rank Interactive on a consultancy basis in the past (not affiliate related) and it's safe to say they never really focused on affiliates - it's a pity though as they have a decent product and many good affiliates. They're just not managed right

We've received a payment from them only once (6 months ago), since then the commission earned is showing as Failed Payments, the reason was never given to us. Still no contact from them, Mr. Tornatore keeps ignoring emails and skype chats. Although their brands have been removed from our sites for already 2 months, we still generate some commission from the player base, but as I say they've gone completely rogue. lol.

I've met with some of their aff managers for Mecca at LAC, he told me that things have gone wrong due to an evil aff manager who damaged the company's reputation and he was not working with them anymore, so things were improving, but now it seems there's something else for an excuse. Basically, you can't do anything. That's the dark side of the industry.

Hi all,

Firstly, let me introduce myself. I used to work for 32Red Affiliates and a few other programs and about to start at Grosvenor heading up digital marketing. I saw this thread and felt obliged to answer given Frank's recent departure from the affiliate team.

Let me reassure you all that Grosvenor has no plans to end the program. In fact, I will be working with partners and the team here to ensure there is a renewed focus on the program. Investment will reflect the importance with which the company and I view this important acquisition channel.

Grosvenor, as pointed out here, is a strong, trusted brand in the UK offline. My task will be to ensure the player experience offline is matched online and that our affiliates benefit from that and receive the best treatment. We'll be outlining our strategy shortly but, again, the program will be pivotal in executing it.

If you have any questions in the meantime then please get in touch here.

Kind regards,

Aaron O'Sullivan
Head of Digital Marketing

Hi there,

I don't have a work email address just yet as I haven't officially started, otherwise would be happy to share it here.

I'll send you a private message with my personal email address so we can talk in more detail. Going forward, would appreciate everyone's feedback on the program so we know where to focus and how we can make the program work for you.

Regards,

Aaron
