Hi,
have anyone of you dealt with a google penalty before.
What are the things you do to have it removed? And is it possible to have it removed?

Is there somebody you can speak with from google regarding this?

If it is algorithmic (and here I wouldn't talk about a "penalty"), you can't do nothing.
G, at today, is very "smart" (<- insert here your preferred adjective) and and as "it now thinks" it remains obscure for the most part of us. Just something looks like to work a bit: "think as a user".

Are you losing traffic in the long run or was the loss sudden?
Do you have a manual penalty?

BTW, competition is very heavy right now...

If you received a manual penalty, then it usually comes with information that lets you know why you were penalized.

You can recover from a manual penalty, but you'll need to make sure that you fix the problem, document how you fixed the problem, and provide them with the documentation that proves that you put in a good deal of effort to fix the problem.

It depends on Manual or algorithmic and the factor that made google to take this action

Did you find that on Search Console (Security & Manual Actions)?

I experienced something like this before. I buyed older domain with some backlinks pointing to it. I started to build a website on it, but google was not indexing any of my content. There was no manual penalty appearing in Search Console. I waited for more than a month if google will start to index, but nothing happend. So I moved the website to new domain, and after two days most of the pages were indexed correctly. So you may be penalised in some way without even knowing it.

I also received a manual penalty, it is not a big problem. Just just fix some things (all is written in google webmasters tools).

If you fix a manual penalty, how long until they begin indexing you a good / removing the penalty?

I'm guessing each one would be different. The only manual penalty I have ever had was on a domain I purchased that had expired and had a penalty attached which I only found out once I installed WMT. It was due to the old site getting hacked and being riddled with spam etc. I emailed a reconsideration request explaining I'd bought the domain and installed a new site etc and it was quickly removed and ranked normally.
Might be worth reading SERoundtable as Im sure they'll be some good advice on there about penalties

I can only speak from our own experience several years ago. We submitted a reconsideration request for one
of our sites, and it took about a week to get it approved and the penalty removed. The traffic was back to normal
in a few days after that. I don't think that it takes a long time to get it removed, but it does (or maybe it should) take
some time to fix the problem, and take steps to show them that the problem won't happen again on the site.

So you never gained ranks as before? You think that google remembers you did something wrong in the past and even when you fixed it, he continues to punish the site?

It's going to be a lot easier to get a manual penalty removed rather than if it's algorithmic. The reason being is that if it's a manual penalty, you will be given a reason, so you know what to fix. If it's algorithmic it could be anything from a dodgy outgoing link to poor or duplicate content.

Incoming links shouldn't affect you according to Google as you have no control over them if someone decides to link blast you with spammy links, but I'm not so sure, I have seen pages tank if they have a lot of links and a poor anchor text ratio variation.

but the algorithm does really give you a penalty. It just sees your content as less relevant. I true penalty can only be given manually?

I disagree, penalties can be both algorithmic (which would be most common) or manually applied. If you suddently go from page 1 to 6+ and your competitors remain stable, the chances are the algorithm as detected something it dosn't like.
