The country’s new gambling law, Glücksspielstaatsvertrag, legalize online sports betting, online casinos and online poker. The ratification took place in a remote meeting held on October 28-30.
The newly ratified framework needs to be adopted as a valid state law by courts in all 16 states so it can become effective on July 1st, 2021 when Germany’s new gambling regime is scheduled to take force.
