Super rogue activity from Genting - they're closing their poker affiliate program but keeping the poker room open.

In accordance with our affiliate terms and conditions please note that Genting Alderney will be terminating the poker affiliate program, and therefore, your poker affiliate Agreement with effect from 31 March 2014. From that date and for the avoidance of doubt no commission will be earned or accrued in respect of your players.

We would be grateful if you can also confirm by response on or before the 31 March 2014 that you have disabled and removed any link, icons or banners to Genting on your site.

Probably a good idea for all affiliates to drop all genting products immediately (eg: Genting Casino, Circus Casino etc..).

The timing seems super weird to me as they've just launched a new sportsbook and have been sniffing around trying to get affs to promote it. Obviously that's not going to happen now...

Also, as a side note, what is it with land based operators being such shits (ie: Rank's Blue Sq sale to Betfair with no tagging).

Yeah, hate BlueSq and Betfair for doing this. No doubt though, Betfair will come begging to affiliates to get them to promote them, but in this industry mud sticks. Betfair wins the prize for having the most amazing revolutionary idea to shake up this industry and the award for completely f&*king up that opportunity. At best it's a crap sportsbook with and exchange on the side now.

Interesting to note, some ex-BlueSq employees now work for Betfair.

After dropping ALL Israeli based affiliate programs from our sites based on mistrust and acts like the above, we're almost now dropping most programs based in Asian/Phillippines/Macau etc. You just can't work with companies based in tin-pot banana republics when it comes to legal systems you cannot challenge if things like this happen.

Stick to advertisers based in Malta, Gibraltar and the UK. Let's be honest, there are some great UK based brands that convert very well in Asia, without having to use these crappy Asian brands
