Genesis affiliates UKGC license suspended

Got this email from Genesis last night.

"
Important Regulation Update: UKGC
Dear Affiliate,
Unfortunately, we have just been informed that our UKGC licence is being temporarily suspended.
We would like to share more in detail the reasons behind this decision but unfortunately, we have not yet been informed, as can be noted from their public statement.
Genesis will be working extremely closely with the UKGC to resolve this matter as soon as possible.
Until then, all UK players will be informed via on and off-site communications which include a pop-up notification and email.

Rest assured that we will do everything in our power to resolve this issue, but should you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact your affiliate manager.

We, therefore, ask you to remove our brands from your website until this matter is sorted.

We would like to confirm that this ONLY applies to the UK market and we will continue business as usual for other markets.

Honestly guys, this isn't normal how the UKGC is acting regarding regulation.

We are currently not affected, but i would say the same if the license authorities in our country set such a nonsense and decide.

It has nothing to do with that it has hit Genesis, it bothers me that there are generally such stupid changes.

Companies where are acting in sence of regulation and beeing honest get a suspension and other companies where are identified and acting as rogue have nothing to fear and can do what they want. (no matter which licensors)

If no one like to pay anymore for a UK license the market will be going dead.

I can't write down all what i think about the business. But business is increasingly being destroyed by such nonsense. That's my personal opinion.

Agree 100%. UK regulation has become a minefield, it is practically impossible to navigate without getting slapped by a fine or license suspension.

Got that email too. Hope they will back on the market soon, they are really good affiliate program and and cool brands. Working with them for years.
