Ex-Casino Manager Posts Historical Gambling Information Online - But Is It Interesting?

[MrBerger]

Hello! I have a friend whom we shall call Mee. Now, Mee recently launched a new website: Gods of Gambling | Legendary Figures Who Made Millions, an informational site about people and places in the global gambling industry. It isn't an affiliate site as such, but it does contain some interesting essays. Mee isn't really sure there is a market for this type of site anymore, but he enjoys creating content and relating stories about the places he's been and the people he's met, so as a vanity project, it must have some value. My question is this: In your opinion, does this type of site still have a place, and what recommendations would you give to Mee to encourage them to create more content? Mee would also like it to be known that he has plenty of free time and suggests that if any gambling-related affiliates need content generation for their websites, he may be persuaded to help. Anyway, that's all I have for now. Thanks for listening, and I look forward to reading your comments.

Just as Mee has this passion for such material, there are definitely people who are also interested in it. You’d be shocked to know that there are quite a number of people with eclectic interests on earth. So long as Mee enjoys it, nothing else matters.

Useless AI-driven pages...

More useful than your comment, though. Why do you have to bring people down, my friend? Is this what you call a 'contribution'? Don't like it...walk on by! That simple really.

I think websites like this can be interesting, especially if the content is unique and based on personal experience. The main thing is to keep developing the project and not expect quick results. I believe it will find its audience over time.

Thanks, that's a genuinely nice comment!

Thank you, I appreciate that. Everything is well researched, despite using electronic sources to compile some facts. My purpose was to create a site not centred around 'How To' content and to highlight people and places around the world that wouldn't ordinarily get a mention. You are right in what you say...it does give Mee pleasure, so it fulfils its purpose. If others appreciate that too, that's great. I am not pushing readers towards online casinos; it's much more of a historical information site.
