Whats up everybody. Anyone still holding ethereum? My friends are all on this dogecoin hype but personally I have like ethereum even more than bitcoin for a while. I am going to make a prediction for the price by the end of 2021. I think it will hit close to 10K if not 10K. What are your thoughts?

I obviously think that ETH is a key part of the Crypto eco-system ... but the higher ETH goes the higher the fees are to do ANYTHING.

Defi on ETH is struggling at present - and so Defi on other platforms outside ETH are growing strongly with ETH priced at around 3K.

The high ETH goes, the less useful it is, and the less ETH used the lower the price should be.

BTC can function as a store of value with just 18m issued and a max of 21m, but ETH is at 115m at present and has no theoretic max.

Let's put it this way - I have some ETH and I am holding - but at THIS price there is no way I'm adding more.

The speculation in cryptos is absurd, much like every financial market, thanks to the never-before-seen-unprecedented-insane-ass-backwards-money-printing scheme going on world wide.

We will either crash hard in every asset class, or hyperinflate in all of them simultaneously (what is happening now).

Prepare accordingly for $10 sodas, $50 loaves of bread, and worthless money printed ad infinitum.

Seems so, just insane.

When i speak to financial people they say it makes sense and all that. But from simple "outside" perspective: the economic situation it for sure not better than in Feb 2020. Yet everything is going up.

In some cases it's just funny, for example land based casino companies are priced higher than a year ago despite being closed for a year.

strange times

P.S. Have no clue regarding ETH. The thing is that it's not about certain intrinsic value here (and ETH is amazing, revolutionary and so on).
If i had to guess, it will go up more from here, then collapse, then go again in the future. But the fact that that's what many people assume can/should change that trajectory.

This should be inevitable by all logic, already happening with some resources
The US just released a new budget, over 6 trillion a year to be spent for 2022.

Inflation is coming. This thesis alone can explain crypto prices.

They just announced they want to spend another several trillion dollars in the next plan. Bitcoin and Ethereum has not been performing well the past few weeks (people speculate Elon Musk). Gold is having trouble getting back to its old high. I thought it would have made higher highs but copper and lumber have been stronger commodities

Wall St. never makes it easy. The precious metals money has been going into rare metals and other shinies for years... Take a look at a Palladium chart for example.

That is what people expected from Gold... but... surprise! Wrong precious metal.
