Hey,
is there any point in all to for example do a new affiliate site in the UK?
is there any chance you can ever start ranking for anything?

I'm not saying avoid - just know what you're getting into w/ the UK. it's a shitshow right now! :)

IMO the GTO strategy is to do a .com site with a UK subcategory - lots of big english markets u can cover- canada, USA, India-en blah blah ..

Unfortunately, the rules in the UK are not that good...
But yes, of course, you could rank.

in your experience. if you consider them secrets no need to share. But seriously, how much would needed to be spent in content, links etc before you can even dream about ranking in the UK for anything

You can certainly rank for keywords in the UK market. The real question is whether or not it's worth the time and effort.
The UKGC is always making new rules to protect players, the casinos pass those rules down to affiliates, and then affiliates
need to make sure that they comply with the rules or risk getting their affiliate account closed. I will take the UK traffic,
but I really don't want to put much time, effort or money into marketing in a region where I might be at risk later.

6 months to 1 year if starting from a brand new domain name w/ no history or backlinks.

bro. go spend 7.99 on ahrefs for a week- run some sites. . see the timelines and the "how" .. I've seen sites less than 2 years old worth $10MM

It would be beneficial to have a better grasp of regulation and compliance with the UK market. It also tends to change now and again, so it's important to follow industry news and the regulators. Affiliates to be licensed at some point wouldn't be out of the question either.

The uk conversions have dropped a lot, retention has dropped and you will spend more work on constantly updating your casinor eviews and graphics ... its a headache

counter intuitively sports ( weird since casino revenues tend to be 40x those of sports too..)
totally depends on strategy, but i see casino sites with 100k traffic a month and handfuls of shit links, u can´t really pull that off in sports

And what does the offshore bookmaker market look like in the UK? It is known that people in the UK love sports and betting and it is obvious that offshore bookmakers will have better odds and general offer than a standard bookmaker.
But does the regulation work and people stick to the licensed brands?

Contrary to what many seem to think, I believe there is still good value in UK traffic.

Obviously you need to find the less competitive keywords to rank faster, but if you get your main topic right together with the usual suspects such as site architecture, content, design and website speed, you should be able to see good results within a year or so.

Granted, a lot more work is required than before to ensure you stay compliant, but as many affiliates left the UK market, the competition is no longer as fierce as it was before.

And UK players continue to offer very good value not only due to size of deposits but also because of high retention rates.

I live in the UK and play at an online casino once a month for some £1000. For me personally, would be no reason to search for some, very likely, scam UK unlicensed casinos or bookies because I can register in minutes without account verification on any UK high street bookie sites and deposit with PayPal and if I win, get paid in seconds. And get paid guaranteed (99.999%). Plus big UK bookies don't piss around much with the identity confirmation as it seems like they pull data about the player from some third-party source.

However, there are people who gam- stopped themselves without realizing that they won't be able to register and play on any UK casino site for a certain period of time. Therefore, after some time, these people start searching for something that can accept them. But i reckon, the promotion of unlicensed shit sites to players with gambling problems is bad, bad, BAD.
