We have some news for you all, some might see it as bad news but hopefully, most of you will see the upside for your partnerships with Cashmio and ultimately money in your pockets!
Cashmio has made the hard decision to close down the Swedish market from 30 April 2019. With the re-regulation that hit in January, we find that the unclear license demands create unclear compliance requirements and this is taking too much time and focus from our main markets like Finland and the UK. We feel like now is not the time to push marketing as it can result in huge fines and we would rather spend that money on growing our business and marketing in clear markets.
This decision helps us to spend more time and money in more profitable markets and thereafter bring better ROI to our partners. We are not opposed to the possibility of opening up Sweden again once the regulated market is more established and clear guidelines exist for Sweden. We wish to continue working with you in our other markets as usual.
The Swedish players currently in our system will have 3 months to withdraw their funds from 1st of May to the end of July, so they will be able to log in but not play after 30th April 2019.
