Cardspike, a Cake skin, has apparently been failing to pay both players and affiliates for some time. Despite promises of payments coming soon, most have still not been paid. There are many different discussions going on about the Cardspike issue at quality places such as:

GPWA Cardspike Discussion

GIA Cardspike Discussion

and many more, but they are all listed in the GPWA article about the Cardspike casino.

This is a warning to all affiliates to cease promotion of Cardspike - they will not pay you or your players!!

This serves as a warning. Please feel free to discuss here or at other forums where discussions have already ensued.

Thank you!

spent my night reading all these articles and all i can say is WOW.

Yes, there are some serious allegations involved with this organization (Cardspike) and if they are true there is a VERY SERIOUS conflict of interest going on.

I don't know what's true and what's not, but I do know (after talking with many unpaid affiliates and players) that they are at the very least being dishonest with their customers. Most have been told that they would be paid for months now. Very bad business people behind this organization... very shady.

This is horrible for the industry (once again) and we all need to band together to ensure that they don't get away with it.

I have heard rumblings about CAP/PAP being involved with CardSpike for a while now.

I am not sure how deep the relationship goes, and whether CAP is a stake holder in CardSpike, but CAP/PAP has give CardSpike a lot of latitude in how it operates, more so then its other paid certifications.

Wow this is pretty disappointing. Maybe some facts come to light that CAP/PAP isn't as involved as I am reading. I'll hold out for the final verdict rather than pointing my fingers wildly in the air, but my goodness, it doesn't look good.

I have been busy with some business matters and had no idea any of this was happening. I was up till 5:00 am reading this stuff ...

Please Andy, AGD is my source cause the other places threads get sooo long. I went to CAP because I am a long time member but I am either blind or don't see any threads there. I hope you keep us abreast of any new and major information.

Wow. Just watched the vid. Probably a good idea to let things cool down and let tempers calm before anyone shouts too much - anything could come out of it.

I agree with all that.

I only want the facts to come out. It looks like players are finally being paid at Cardspike now along with affiliates, so that is a good thing.

A warning should still be heeded, though. If this happened once, it could just as easily happen again. As for ownership, I'm sure that will come out at some point.

The APCW video this week was certainly very interesting. At this point I don't know what is going on. One statement that CAP/PAP/Affiliate Media is not involved, then another piece of evidence that 'Effective Media' is owned by the principals of Affiliate Media.

I'm sure it will shake out, but until facts are presented we really don't know either way who the profits go to.

For anyone who is interested about the CardSpike.com poker room warning (affiliates and players not being paid for months), and CardSpike.com possible ownership relationship with Casino Affiliate Programs (CAP), this video from APCW is quite informative.

Perspectives Friday for January 9th, 2009 - The APCW

I would say that while the relationship looks very suspect, and that there seems to be a major conflict of interest, judgment should be reserved till all the facts come out.

You are correct with that last statement for sure... Judgement needs to wait for complete proof. CAP is innocent until proven guilty despite the crap they have pulled over the last year.
