Further to the placing announcement on 16 November (Berlin: NBXB.BE - news) 2010, the Board of Electric Word is pleased to announce the buyout of its partner Affiliate Media Inc, in the i-gaming affiliate events and publishing business (the "Buyout"), for a cash consideration of £1.05 million.

Didn't hear anything about this at LAC last week - I'm sure I would have if it was true (and significant).

Dom is "out of the loop" at the moment with a serious personal issue.

Oh it's definitely true, Yahoo Finance and their sources are for the most part publicly traded. They have no reason to publish falsehoods or false press releases.

As far as I know they just bought the interest Affiliate Media had in the conference business, and not any other holdings such as CAP.

I heard they bought both the conference & magazine portion. I'm sure that everyone involved is happy at the outcome. Getting over a million these days for anything is pretty good.

I heard about this at the Fire and Ice party.. It's definitely not a hoax and I think it can only be positive for the guys at iGB. I think a lot more people will support them now.
