Hello AGD community,

With the rapid shift toward decentralized iGaming, building a Web3 casino and sportsbook platform requires a solid technical foundation that balances real-time performance, cryptographic security, and seamless user experience.

Below is an architectural breakdown of how we structured a low-latency, highly scalable Web3 iGaming system designed to handle high concurrent traffic and instant cryptocurrency transactions.

1. Modular Frontend & Render Optimization

  • Tech Stack: Built with Next.js / React.js (SSR) to ensure maximum SEO indexing and sub-second initial page loads.
  • GPU Hardware Acceleration: Utilizing transform: translateZ(0) and will-change properties to shift heavy UI rendering directly to the GPU.
  • Mobile-First Performance: Adaptive rendering that automatically disables heavy CSS blur and drop-shadow effects on mobile screens (<767px) to maintain a stable 60 FPS.
  • Page Visibility Management: Automatic freezing of background SVG/CSS animations via Page Visibility API when the user switches tabs, preserving device battery and processing power.
2. Web3 Wallet Integration & Vault Infrastructure

  • Multi-Wallet Connectivity: Native support for 9+ non-custodial wallets (MetaMask, Phantom, Trust Wallet, OKX, etc.) alongside traditional social sign-ins (Google/Email).
  • Automated Blockchain Listeners: Dedicated RPC node listeners scanning block confirmations in real-time (e.g., Solana & EVM chains) to instantly credit user balances upon network verification.
  • Instant Hot Vault Engine: Automated microservice payout logic featuring configurable limit triggers and multi-signature security protocols.
3. Provider Aggregation & Provably Fair Logic

  • Seamless Aggregator Integration: Secure REST/gRPC webhooks with HMAC-SHA256 signature verification for third-party providers (SoftSwiss, Slotegrator, etc.).
  • In-House Provably Fair Engine: SHA-256 / HMAC cryptographic hashing combining Server Seed, Client Seed, and Nonce to guarantee verifiable on-chain or frontend auditing.
4. Backend Scalability & Anti-Fraud

  • Asynchronous Message Queuing: Offloading heavy tasks (affiliate commission calculations, VIP level updates, webhook processing) to RabbitMQ / BullMQ worker pools to prevent database deadlocks.
  • In-Memory Caching: Redis implementation for session management, dynamic sportsbook odds updates, and real-time balance state tracking.
  • DDoS & Edge Routing: Cloudflare Enterprise edge protection paired with Redis Token Bucket rate-limiting algorithms to neutralize bot activity.
Feel free to drop any questions regarding infrastructure design, provider integration, or technical scaling!

The first sub point in point 2 is where mu confusion is. When you say non custodial wallets, what does that mean? cos i know I've heard of self Custody wallet. is that the same thing? I'm not too comfortable with someone having control over my assets

The wallet will be entirely yours, set up on a single wallet, and no one other than you will know the passwords or keys

Thanks! I seem to misunderstand the terms (crypto confuses the heck out of me). This still helps. I appreciate it!
