The silence is deafening - When do you think we might hear something?

I certainly hope that if big changes are on the horizon that we are given adequate notice - sooner rather than later. I would absolutely hate to be provided with details on May 31 regarding changes taking place on June 1st; especially if they require a lot of work on the part of us affiliates.

I would think they should be able to give their partners sufficient information regarding pending changes without spoiling their conference parties. Considering that notion this silence does nothing but spark our xenophobic tendencies.

I got this email from Referback today, not sure if it refers to this same casino:

I hope this finds you well, please would you let me know if you would like me to send you banners from our partner casino in the USA that accepts USA players ?

I think this move is similiar to what EcoCard did when they stopped allowing U.S. players and introduced UseMyWallet. No big change for the player.

I was pretty worried about this last week.... but now I'm not so worried.

As far as the deafening silence from the programs about this change, I think our reps. are just barely getting details themselves. And I can appreciate them making sure they have their facts straight before posting. I just wish that the people at the top of the chain that does know what's going on would get the communication flowing through the pipeline a little quicker.

One of my mods posted a screenshot of the lobby from the new CasinoShare US - I find it does not look only similar, it is the same look!

cs.jpg

I opened up my CasinoShare that was already downloaded with no problem. And yes, the lobby looks just like your screenshot. So how do we know they actually did in fact make the change already, if it looks the same and I didn't have to re-download and nothing seems different?

I don't have all the game downloaded in CasinoShare. Maybe it's just my computer but I'm not sure I can download some games. For example, Hellboy and Thunderstruck. It might just be my glitchy laptop though.

I am sure that most of the affiliate managers don't know all the answers as well BUT they could at least let us know that they are going to send out mails asap or something.
Hey Cowboy that pic is a spitting image :) I think Referback is referring to Slotatastic they are referring USA players to this RTG brand.

Hi all, and thank you for your posts.

For clarity’s sake, we will try to answer your queries.

Regarding the email being sent out on a Friday, we understand how this is not the best day for usual communication, but due to the tight time restraints for this project, we thought best to send information as we have it. Also, this project we are undertaking requires no action on your part so we thought this would not be an issue.

On the issue of migration of players, we assure you that all accounts will be transferred and all tracking retained to make sure you keep earning from all the US players you worked hard to get over the years. We are doing this project to ensure that the US business continues and with this you, the affiliate, keep receiving what you are owed, and what we, the program, have promised to give. You will keep getting paid every month on all revenue generated by active US players.

Also, note, we still do not allow the acquisition of US players, nothing has changed in this regard.

We would like to assure you once again that we are entirely committed to working with our partners in every possible way to make sure that our association keeps growing and flourishing. Should you have any further queries regarding this matter (or any other!), feel free to contact your Affiliate Manager who will be happy to answer you.

Hoping this finds you all well.

First, the software is RTG. I was told by "someone who should know" a few months ago that Microgaming has done a deal with RTG but it is all hush hush.

This is just the first of many groups who will be doing this. I have seen a beta of a new U.S. site from another major group a few months back.

From what I can see, the software doesn't include the licensed games, nor the progressive jackpots. It has stuff like 5 reel drive, but not Mega Moolah 5 reel drive.

It is easy to download if you want to check it out and you are not in the USA. Just use a free web proxy that is based in the USA and go to casino-share.com

Also, note, we still do not allow the acquisition of US players, nothing has changed in this regard.

Interesting, that is not the information I have received from other groups who are doing this.

Assuming they do allow us to acquire new players then it is good news. We can all get rid of the shitty Top Game and Rival joints and send U.S. players to some real casinos.

Someone spotted (I think it was Simmo!) that there is a U and an S in the dice at the top of the lobby which wasn't there with the old version.

I'm still totally confused by many, many things to do with this transfer, but can't be arsed to type them all out. I'm a patient chap - I'll just wait & see how it pans out.

@Vladi - I severely hope it's NOT in any way connected to RTG!

Star Partner has made a statement:

Important Message:
Due to current legislation, Star Partner can no longer continue to provide casino play to United States players. However, there is GOOD NEWS!

From 20 May 2010 all US players at Vegas Partner Lounge casinos will be migrated to a new casino brand that will facilitate play: TheCasinoUS. This new software is very, very similar to our existing Microgaming software, so there will be a smooth transition for players.

Please Note: your affiliate earnings on US play will also be migrated to a new affiliate program: Affiliates.TheCasinoUS.com

The process will be seamless and Star Partner will be on hand to manage the transfer over the transition period.
• Your current Affiliate Account Number (AffID7082) and password will remain the same
• Your current US players will be transferred and remains unchanged
• Experience reliable state of the art software reporting and support
• Affiliates.TheCasinoUS.com will be contacting you shortly
Should you require any assistance or further information, please contact us.

Kind regards,

Redflush made a statement also:

Dear Andrew

As of Wednesday the 18th of May 2010, Microgaming will be moving the Red Flush US players onto a new software platform. This new platform has moved away from Microgaming and will be licensed from a brand new software provider. The new software will be very similar in look and feel; stability; gaming collection and features, but there will be some notable changes.

You will come to know this as a new brand called Red Flush.Net: A new interface that has been developed for the US market. We remain the affiliate program for Red Flush.Net so there is no need to register any new accounts. The account data for each player is going to be moved across in full with all tags and information that we currently have in our back office. Player tags and revenue will not change at all.

While the migration is taking place, we will not be able to offer any acquisition of new players, but we hope to be able to introduce this in the future. We will keep you updated on this. We will also have to provide manual reporting until we have all of our systems in place. All current links for Red Flush can remain as they are, as players will automatically be re-directed to the US facing casino or website through geo-targeting methods.

This change has been made in order to ensure that we are able to continue offering safety, service & exciting gaming to all our customers. As soon as we know more we will communicate this to you. For now, please feel free to fire off any questions that you might have.

Kind Regards

Red Returns

The software is Microgaming, just less the new games, tournaments, progressives and certain branded game names.

So, no new players and the existing ones are going to possibly have their favorite games taken away? Unchanged, nothing changes, earnings continue the same .... those type of words/phrases don't seem to describe what I am seeing.

It is not RTG and everyone think outside the box for a moment please! Yes players are going to be pissed off at first that their favorite games are gone but guess what they will get over it and find new favorites.

Furthermore as a player and an affiliate I would much rather have this take place then to have this software ripped out of the US market totally!!

I know this is a big change for everyone and I also know that the operators have fought hard for us and for the players so lets all please just work together and not against each other I think this is going to be a good thing for everyone at the end of the day.

it looks like a stripped down version of MG, sort of like aol does with IE.
so I would imagine the backend migration would be relatively seamless as there are no cross compatibility issues.

Can't d/l Red Flush

Still a wee bit confused but maybe that is normal. But based on the information provided with no other research, appears these changes maybe a good thing.

All current links for Red Flush can remain as they are, as players will
automatically be re-directed to the US facing casino or website through
geo-targeting methods.

Sounds good IMO.

While the migration is taking place, we will not be able to offer any
acquisition of new players, but we hope to be able to introduce this in
the future.
I can only suspect the new software provider will in the near future accept new U.S players and tag accordingly. It all sounds very good better than what it was IMO. Unless of course there are tagging issues.

Off topic I pulled a whois on casinoshare dot com and found,

<tt>Registrant Contact:
Commonwealth of Kentucky Justice Cabinet
Eric Lycan ()

One of the seized domain names but had no idea the state of Kentucky was buying online gambling domains lol. Too funny and sorry but those U.S Politicians crack me up.

It is not RTG

I was told to my face by affiliate managers from 2 different programs. It is RTG that Microgaming is working with.

I know the games are not RTG games.

I'll leave it at that.

Few thoughts and stuff from me, some of which have already been clarified.

1) It's not an RTG deal. That is a separate initiative that some casinos have followed, doing deals with RTG's like Jackpot Capital for example to refer existing US traffic - with Microsoft's blessing one would assume.

2) This is a brand new initiative where MG have licenced their games to another software provider who are prepared to take on US players. They are called "Betware", based in Iceland and have been around for years, mainly doing lotteries.

3) I doubt the brand name games under licence such as Hellboy, Osbournes and Tombraider II will go to Betware as it's likely the licensing agreement between MG and the brand name owners would preclude sub-licensing. maybe in time that will change.

4) Slot tournaments and progressives will also probably not migrate over either because paying - or hiding - large amounts of money to US players is a big problem in the current climate. IMO until a payment solution comes up that can legally facilitate this, it's unlikely to happen.

Still flumoxed as to why games like Thunderstruck I and II can't go over though. Maybe they will.

Cheers

Simmo!
