What's your bounce rate*?

And what's a good/average bounce rate?

*Bounce Rate is the percentage of single-page visits (i.e. visits in which the person left your site from the entrance page without interacting with the page).

I dont know what everyone elses is.. But when I had "sliders" on my main page it was like 80%.. I took them off re-arranged the page and its around 40-50%

hope that helps.

It really depends on your keywords.. As people looking for casino coupon codes and people looking for casino reviews may be much different. But I also agree I don't like sliders, all of my images are static, no flashing or sliding.

Just make clean design, no flash, no sliders - proper call to actions and etc and your bounce rate will decrease. Btw I think the bounce rate for gambling niche is pretty high in average so don't be bothered so much about that.

I have heard 80 percent is pretty good for our niche. If you are monetizing would hold if belore you make changes

where did you hear that? 50% or less. My free 3d slots is 23% but that is expected.
anyway bounce rate is deceptive, a visitor can come see precisely what they want and leave.

exit rate is something to look at.

Bounce rate is decreased first by making your site faster and mobile friendly. More and more people are using thier phones and high connection speeds have made us lazy and impatient.

Then by having exceptional content that provides answers to specific questions. This makes people stay to read whats there, or at least compare the data you are presenting.

Then by ease and intuitiveness of the navigation or on-page features. If it does not make sense, guests simply will not find it and end up making a quick exit stage right.

Lastly, by ascetics including color choices, type-font, and overall styling of the site. A lot of times less is more...

What's a bounce rate?

the percentage of visitors to a particular website who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page.
"a rising bounce rate is a sure sign that your homepage is boring or off-putting"
