the tool tip says:
This is the private area for general affiliate information. None of this information will be in the search engines and affiliate managers are not part of this group.

huh. You are right. But - AM's are not excluded from that group for some reason. I don't want 2 forums like that, doesn't make sense.

Looking at the forums... I guess I don't understand. The 'group' for these forums is: https:// www.a ffiliateguarddog. com/community/categories/private-forums-non-indexed.324/. That group is available only to AGD Members (not affiliate managers). I assumed the sub-forums were inheriting those permissions. I guess I will need to test.

Public is good but it has to be done fairly and professionally.
No business likes to be bad mouthed, no affiliate would like it if someone went around and said bad things publicly about their portals. jmo

I don't even know what that means. I haven't seen that anywhere in this thread.

Sorry I don't mean to nit pick today, a little aggravated. R/W DVD player crapped and my slave backup hd drive now says the FAT is RAW and not NTFS.

No worries, it solved a problem I didn't know existed :)

ugh, that sounds about as bad as when my kids ran around my server room and knocked my NAS off the table... Took 3 weeks to recover that data! Good luck man.

Giving 5 casinos the size 10 up the jacksie today!
Tivoli closed down (VERY disappointing), and these 4 are a total waste of web-space (for me at least): Mr Green, Noxwin, Hero Casino & Come On (should be Come Off!).

Got a few more totally useless NetEnt based places in my sights too... Look out! ;)

After that, I can think of at least another dozen casinos who will also be seeing my boot heel.

Who are YOU booting out in your spring cleaning?

I do not promote MrGreen but they are all over the tv in Canada right now.

They are all over TV in the UK too - and that is a big part of the problem IMHO.
They attract players direct, so very few want or need to sign-up via affiliate sites.
It's the same with all the big casinos & bookmakers who advertise on TV in the UK - it's VERY hard to convert new players.

The problem is the cost per acquisition keeps rising with affiliates every time they pay us our 25%+ on that player.
32 Red used to publishes the cost per acquisition in the annual financial summary. It's on page 7 of the Annual Report & Accounts for 2014 pdf. (2010-2014 is listed. I did not see it in the 2015 report but maybe it's there somewhere.

The improved recruitment of new players is a direct reflection of the increased marketing investment
during 2014, with a total of 31,241 television advertisements viewed by 5.4m UK males aged
between 18 and 34. While TV advertising continues to be the largest single marketing expense,

Go Wild is another that is coming off this next month as they are almost the WORST Microgaming brand we market ! They use to be in our top 10 but no more, they are terrible now!
I get told over and over.. New players, New Players.. we bring them in each month and still they are not retained..

They were one of my best too... until they pulled out of the UK market
I still have a reasonable amount of active players (8-10) - but they seem to be very good at winning in recent months!
Overall though, not too bad for me, so I will stick with them. They are one of VERY few reputable MG's these days...

It's unfortunate about MG's. They used to be king. Now - it is tough to roll with them.

As a new affiliate hearing these things is very discouraging, which programs do you promote? If establish guys like you are having trouble making money with a lot of these programs , how will new affiliates fair with them? And then you have those going rouge, and those going out of business and then there is google who is your worst nightmare. What is happening to this industry?

I did not see a problem with Kristine's post. I actually think its good when an affiliate program
chimes in with relevant information, or even to address a problem that someone has with their brand.
It's actually the lack of contact and the difficulty to get in touch with some programs that I find
to be more of a hassle. I do understand the desire for an affiliates only section in the forum tho.
