Quite interesting that Betway is to return to running their own affiliate program again. Moving away from Buffalo Partners after just a short few months.

So just got an email regarding the above apparently due to the ongoing regulatory and compliance changes that are happening. The official switch happens on the 1st March with login details the same.

Dear Affiliates,
Please note that due to ever changing regulatory requirements and the need for dedicated compliance involvement, a decision has been made for Betway and its other brands, to exit Buffalo Partners and to run their affiliate program in-house.

The Betway Partners affiliate program will include Betway, Hippodrome Online Casino, Spin Casino, Bingo on the Box, and Dream Bingo from 1st March 2018. What does this mean for you?

If your account has traffic from any of the Betway Partners’ brands (Betway, Hippodrome Online Casino, Spin Casino, Bingo on the Box, Dream Bingo), you will be able to use your existing username to log in to Betway Partners from 1st March 2018.

Buffalo Partners will pay February earnings as per normal in the March payment run. Thereafter Betway Partners will make all future payments, as well as any outstanding payments. From 1st March 2018, Buffalo Partners will be home to the following brands:

Another interesting development is that we can not find the Buffalo Partners brands nor Betway actively being used on the casino domains used by hackers anymore (at the moment this one seems to be the live version : top-trustedcasinos.com/?lang=ca the rest of the ones on the list seem to be dormant with inactive affiliate accounts).

With the continued support of the "hacker" by BP, if the UKGC got wind of that, they'd smack them back into the stone age. Though, if the UKGC did some research or more so, were given some data to join the dots, well... No amount of scurrying, or disassociation would help, given both entities are owned by the same people/family.

The UKGC wants more insight of what brands are doing in grey (and black) markets. Brands that are having a too big share from those markets, will have a problem.

Also there was some media attention for Betway/Buffalo and their cooperation with hackers.

But, like Dave says, whatever they will do, split, break up, etc. It will be just formal. In the end, the money goes to the same people. No matter if it's a buck earned by Spin Palace or by Betway.

For the record, it was Dave (Webzcas) and I who 1'st joined the dots in relation to the 1'st (rudimentary hacks) back in 2012. All roads seem to travel back to WinTechnologies.net (Spin Palace et al SEO arm). I now see the aforementioned URL has had a massive redesign and no longer boast SEO/Marketing as its core business.

Here's a look at what this company was doing, as late as 2017 (replace "hyyp" with "http"):

Could ALL these recent changes have been made, to maybe try and hide their past from (IDK) the UKGC...hmmmm

I was never a fan of Buffalo Partners. I rank in top 10 on google for a few Betway terms, probably highest trafficked "Betway Poker" and have never once had a sign up. In fairness the CTA could do with improvement, but 0 sign ups was a bit worrying.

Know that feeling. Had 3 signs up from 700 clicks. Doesn't make sense

Another reason I really wouldn't know. Normally I would say perhaps they've seen the light, but with Betway/Buffalo I exclude that option.

WinTechnologies btw is quite a dodgy company. They're still active, but not openly.

Your mention of that, kicked my memory banks.

I'd promoted ReferBack since 2001. So I didn't dump them when Buffalo (aka Wagershare) took over. I promoted mainly to AU (with a few NZ players). I held some decent G page 1 SERP's. Some where even outranking Jackpot City (#1 brand for AU). Not long after this, the "hacker" was targeting not only my Brand Name, but also excerpts of my content. For whatever reason I held those SERP's, and the "hacker" didn't outrank me.

When the AU market finally closed, I switched to NZ. The "hacker" had been hot on my trail, looking at it, even before I commenced the change over to NZ.

ReferBack I trusted. Buffalo/Wagershare I didn't. I'm of the opinion now, Buffalo et al were providing the "hacker" with data or at least URL's which were impeding their G rankings. Dodgy doesn't even come close.

Criminal acts seems not out of the ball park for this Group.

I wonder if the same affiliate team of Buffalo will keep on taking care of Betway's affiliate business.
