I did a search the other day, but the only information I could find regarding Hosting for Online Gambling (Casino) Affiliate Websites was extremely dated.

So, is there a good all-around choice for someone new who doesn't have a development team that can custom configure a VPS for speed and optimization?

  • SiteGround was listed as an all-around good choice.
  • DigitalOcean was mentioned for those with the skills and experience to configure a VPS.
  • DreamHost was referred to as "newbie-friendly" and a good starting point

If you have any other suggestions or opinions on these or other Hosting Providers, please include them.

Thank you so much for your assistance!

Respectfully -- Marc

Pretty much from when SiteGround commenced, I was recommending their shared-hosting (Geek package). I had a project last year, which, I didn't want to run on my server, so I opted for SiteGround's Geek package.

Frankly it was below par, nothing like the SiteGround I once recommended. They've grown BIG, too fast, and it seems, least from my experience with them, their bespoke Control Panel is both confusing and just plain awful. They used to use cPanel.

I have a server with knownhost.com, they're pretty good. Support tickets replied to in under 3min. Been with them 5 years now. They do offer shared and VPS (managed or un-managed) with decent pricing and specs.

I heard many prefer Kinsta, but I don't know what's good about it.

I'm with Siteground, and probably because of their massive popularity a few years ago. TBH i don't see any advantage of

using them over others, even recently uninstalled their Siteground Optimizer plugin and now using another which does the job perfectly.

I have a few domains hosted with DreamHost, they seem good and support is very helpful plus their site is very user-friendly

with everything at hand.

If i was you i would try Facebook groups where you can chat with others and see what people vote for.

why not do a reverse lookup on whoever ranks good for casino terms, and see who they host w/ - @ O.P ?
good hosting is generally agnostic of industry fwiw.

Didn't work WP Rocket for me as expected and asked for a refund the next day which they haven't send out to this day.
There was a fire in their office, so I let it go.

Bay the way, a disadvantage with Siteground also is that your second bill is nearly triple the 1st one.

Strange that. A lot of people rave about it. Maybe it's just no good on siteground
That's what i heard too and that's why decided to buy it. First tried with a free version to test it out and noticed that many things were available only on proper subscription. So, I bought the subscription, adjusted this and that, but nothing was as they scream about it on Youtube videos etc.

At the moment using Nitropack. It gives me a site speed 99/100.
I have nearly 6K words on my homepage with a ton of other speed consuming things.

Some people say Nitropack found a way to cheat Google speed score etc. But those people may be their competitors some jealous bastards that could not bring their tool to such a level.

You can try a free version a see how it works for you.
The only minus with the free one is they will stick their banner below your site footer.

I have used nitropack and yes it does give amazing scores but there is a lot of reviews online about it as you say saying it tricks the score.

Speed optimisation is not something I'm clued up on but did read quite a lot of info on nitropack

I've read it too and saw people becoming sceptical.
Well, nothing to add here. Hopefully, all is good and no problems in future lol.

We moved everything to Kinsta last year. It all runs smoothly now.

We were having slow loading issues with our previous host. We couldn't seem to pin down
the problem. The host did not really provide much help. They just gave us generic things to check.

When we moved over to Kinsta, the support was able to figure out the problem and fix it right away.

Once, you could add a few extra lines of code to your functions.php file, and that was that. Instant speed increase. However, these days, if your not WP/coding savvy, Kinsta seems to be the best option for WP hosting.

If support are there to help with issues, then giving them a go is a well deserved 1+.

I have nearly 6K words on my homepage with a ton of other speed consuming things.

You'd need 100K+ of contextual content (words) to start noticing speed issues. The BIG problem (bottleneck) with WP sites lays with themes and plugins. The majority are simply not code optimized.

EG - If you run a contact us form... The CSS and JS for that plugin is usually always loaded on every page. There's a whole lot of coding and files being run, including database calls, which, don't need to run on every page. The more plugins etc you have, the more it drains your load-times.

There's a lot of header database calls which, you can replace with hard-coding. Along with heaps of other tweaks to squeeze the most out of your hosting.

Having decent hosting (not oversold cheap as chips) is generally one of the better choice you can make.

The things is, you need to get all your coding optimized, then use a cache, and a CDN if needed.

Doing all this is when you really start to see speed improvements, and a happy Google ;)

I have been using a KnownHost Managed VPS for several years now and can confirm Dave's sentiment about them.
