Belgium’s Council of Ministers have approved a new draft law that will see weekly deposit limits for online betting and casino platforms reduced to €200. The deposit limit had previously been set at €500 per week.

The new law was proposed by Minister of Justice Vincent Van Quickenborne who felt that the timing was right for stronger protection against losses for Belgian players. After much discussion, lawmakers approved the proposal and a new Royal Decree was drafted and overwhelmingly approved by the Council of Ministers

Seeing an increase in searches for crypto and non licensed casinos within Europe & the UK, I think players who want to play with more won't find it hard to do so.

I suppose as a Gov., in 2021, they (Belgium) must been seen as taking a stance for responsible gaming practices and such. They can't be so inapt and out of touch not to realise players, who, wish to gamble larger amounts or whatever, will likely use other off-shore igaming venues to feed their wants.

I am actually still active in the Belgian market. There are problems and most of the online casino's are not so great. Still, I manage to make a nice additional (kind of passive) income with it. Gaming1 is not a bad company imo.
