With the IGA about to create havoc... anyone got some recommendations on some good casinos that will stay to accept aussie players? We all have our opinions on the RTG... but surely there are some good ones and others? :)

I'm currently active in EmuCasino, an AU based casino. I've been with them quite sometime, so far so good, every week has various promotions

Well enjoy it while you still can... they have MG & NetEnt games, which means they WILL leave the Aus market in the next few months.

Yeah I've heard the news about it as well. What other Australian based Casinos can you recommend with good games aside from MG & NetEnt?

Well to start with, as far as I know there aren't ANY Australian based casinos that accept Aus players - they are all based in other countries.
In the fullness of time, I expect your government to start licencing online casinos - but WHO that will be and WHAT softwares they will have and WHEN is anyone's guess...

It's a little too early to be sure how this will all pan out - it looks like there will be some multi-software casinos offering softwares like Play'n'Go, Betsoft, iSoftBet, etc...
In the meantime I am promoting RTG & Rival casinos to Aus - the 2 most popular softwares with American players (who are in the same boat).

Guts, Rizk, Betspin, Thrills, SuperLenny and Kaboo will stop accepting Australian players starting from 15th May onwards.

Diamond Reels also exited the AU market. Rather surprised on that one given it's an RTG. So will other RTG's also exit in the not too distant future???!!!

Very odd group (who ripped me off for $xx,xxx :() and who also run Vegas2Web... but I'm pretty sure the overall owners are a fairly well-known Microgaming Operator who are not based in Europe  - that's the only reason I can think of that they would pull their casinos out of Aus...

So no, I don't expect any other RTGs to pull out.

Thanks for the heads up & suggestion. I'll pay a visit to both RTG & Rival when time comes.

Was bored and ran some checks.
Turns out the company who owns Diamond Reels is based in Victoria, Australia. If your still owed that dosh, I'd be happy to chase it up with the registered company here in AU. I've got a couple of contacts in the Vic Justice Dept., and other Gov., Depts. @KasinoKing - If I managed to get you paid what's owed, I'd ask for a 15% fee.

Send me a PM if interested ;)

Thanks for the offer - but I am not technically owed anything by them (in their opinion).
What happened was they snuck a minimum NDP clause into their T&Cs in December 2015 - and DIDN'T TELL ME!
I had to bring in 1 NDP in 3 months, or my commission would get cut by 10%.
IF I had known about this I would have made efforts to meet their requirement - but unfortunately I didn't notice I was on reduced commission (they also didn't tell me when they reduced it) until I had had a "whale" player for 6 months... Sod's law this was the biggest whale I have ever had anywhere and the lost commission was an eye-watering amount (not far short of $20K). I still had a very nice pay-out though, and it was partly my fault for not spotting sooner that the figures were too low.
I appealed to them about this unagreed retroactive change - but they stuck to their guns.
Their loss in the long run as I certainly wont be giving them prime position on any of my sites in the future...

I didn't know they were based in Aus... but baring in mind who the MG operator is, that's not so surprising...

A few days shy of 1'st of July and not a peep about the IGA. Poli's are on their winter break now.
I believe the first seating of the Senate is not until sometime in August.

Though, with so many other things, more important issues, taking centre stage and, a few more poli's starting to see that these laws will make law abiding citizen petty criminals (as one poli stated), I'm fairly confident the IGA has hit a brick wall.

Xenophon's usual loud-mouthed rhetoric about the evils-of-pokies and the IGA, I've not heard a peep from him for a while now. Everything has gone very, very quiet.

Any news? Does any of you know if CasinoMate is good for AU players? I am getting no response from their affiliate manager

Well if the AM can't be bothered to respond... I think you have your answer right there!

They do accept AU players - but with a limited selection of softwares.
Australians will be blocked from playing any MG games (if they're not already).

Yeah definitely KK, the worst is that I wasn't even asking her about AU specifically, just wanted to basic casino info. I am tempted to post the screenshot of the conversation, is this acceptable or am I unnecessarily just adding fuel to the flame?

I though you said that the AM was unresponsive and now you want to post a screenshot of the conversation?

Ahh well, I meant the conversation between the aff manager and me where I wasn't getting any responses, so you are right that's technically not a conversation. I don't think I have access to upload images yet. But this is what I meant:

[7/31/17, 11:18:53 PM] Betivity: Hey Victoria, how are you?
[7/31/17, 11:19:43 PM] Betivity: I was going to get started on a review for casino mate but noticed I hadn’t yet received the document I had sent you by email. Is there any chance I might be able to get that in the next 24 hours?
[8/2/17, 10:37:05 PM] Betivity: Hey Victoria, are you around?
[8/3/17, 10:36:53 AM] Betivity: Hey Victoria, I don’t mean to be rude or anything but I’m not getting the lack of reply. Im an affiliate trying to get information about your brand so I can promote you guys. I don’t think it gets easier than this for an affiliate manager
