Looks like some creature needs to make it's home in there...

I don't know if we have any small creatures around here, we have something in the water and everything is super sized. As a matter of fact my Cherokee name is runs with third leg, not that size matters though lmao.

Omg Kev it looks beautiful! Can i come live with you please!!.....lol

I knew you were renovating, didn't know you were also landscaping...i think the water falls and peace of the outdoors is the number one thing to keeping someone sane in this frantic world.

Send me pics when your done, so i can pretend i am sitting out side at night listening to sounds of water waiting for my "knight in shinning armor" to show up!

LOL

Nice place Dom. I would give a lot to have my own place with a pond and all that nice landscaping. Just dreaming now ;)

If you are willing to move to the boonies (i.e. the middle of nowhere) beautiful land is inexpensive.

If you can't/don't want to move at the time, a nice piece of land is a great investment for the future, you can just let it be and do something (build or sell) years from now.

The amazing thing is that a one room apartment in San Francisco costs more that my little piece of paradise. Both to rent/buy and maintain.

I have always lived in cities, until my husband talked me into trying the country for a couple of years. That was 15 years ago - now you couldn't pay me to move back to the city.

Stepping away from the computer and going outside into nature - it grounds me.

Cities are stressful all on their own - and while you live there you never really notice it. From driving to parking to crossing the street to having crowds of people around all the time - it takes a toll even if you are unaware as I was when I lived in cities. Your senses are always on overload.

Here, your attention goes to ducks on the pond, birds at the bird bath, flowers budding etc etc, and all the sensory intake is positive.

I think it's human nature ( boiling hormones to be exact) that draws young folk to cities - the biggest pool of possible mates. Also jobs and entertainment.

Jobs - we work from home. Entertainment - in this time and age we can have it anyplace we live.

And thank god my hormones aren't boiling anymore. Gotta love growing older, really!

I absolutely agree. To me, nothing beats walking for a couple hours through a foggy rainforest and then making a picnic and taking a nap ;D

What do you prefer? mountains or the beach? hot or cold weather?

My choice would be mountains and cold weather (around 17 degrees celsius) xD

To answer the original question; Yes, very addicted!

Addicted to gambling - I play EVERY day (for real money).
Addicted to forums - I read them EVERY day.
Addicted to my websites - I am always updating or adding new things, nearly every day! ;)

Dom I like your taste ! Really nice place. I can't ever imagine moving back to the city either. Your garden looks really professional! We are getting our starts in now.

That's the veggie garden in the back of the house. Raised beds keep the weeding and such to a minimum. I strongly recommend them.

In the front it's still early days, it's a cottage garden but it will be some 3 years until the little plants grow to scale. So no pics yet.

Re, the addiction - definitely addicted, but introducing something else you love into your life keeps the balance. Can be anything that allows your brain to disconnect from the computer.

Very nice to see all of you succesful affiliates taking advantage of the potential to live anywhere while making a good living - very unique to our industry IMO.

I have dreams (illusions?) of sailing & touring the world with a in-car or in-boat internet connection and a team of virtual assistant and managers to keep things afloat.

I'll probably do the boring office-payroll employees thing if I grow, but a man can dream isn't it :D

Yeah, man. Steve, I hear you loud and clear. For me its getting to go out in the woods and hiking, etc... :( I'm planning to do something about it this year!! It's my New Years resolution.

Hiking is a wonderful thing to do. I plan to do much of it when the winter clears here in Canada.

Just last week i bought a $400 pair of hiking boots/shoes. These things are the most comfortable shoes i ever bought.

Gonna drive up to an area 1 or 2 times per week and just hike my xxx off:eek:

That will really be good for the soul!!

Steve
