New poster, but avid reader of the forums. I had to come on and raise this issue with everyone, as it winds me up!

Affiliate fraud, namely cookie dropping/stuffing is still rife in this industry. If you're wondering why you're not making money with some brands in this industry, it's likely down to a handful of big media companies consistently stuffing cookies on every display of an ad. They're buying ad space on 3rd party websites and through Google, and dropping cookies on every display of an ad.

What this means to you as an honest affiliate? It means for every 1 cookie you legitimately set through an honest click on an ad, there are 100,000 cookies being set by fraudsters. Their cookies override yours, and you get fewer conversions. You just can't compete with this.

A few brands I've seen allowing dropping - Hollywoodbets (South Africa), Betfred (South Africa), Betking (Nigeria), WilliamHill (UK). These brands openly allow the likes of Clever Advertising, Fresh8 (Sportradar) and others to drop cookies. Yes, the big media companies that win all the big awards!

If you want to check for yourself, open common football sites on a Nigerian or South African VPN and see for yourself. Press F12, and look at the cookies drop as you land. It's happening right now! Sorry, I can't paste links here yet as a new user, but will do so once I am allowed. But check Adibets, AfricanFootball, BusinessDay NG websites.

This practice needs to STOP! If you work with any of the above brands then email your affiliate manager and ask why they're allowing fraud, as you're losing out!

Affiliate fraudsters still moving through the brands that are oblivious to the fact they're getting ripped off. Because these fraudsters seem to "deliver" a lot of registrations, the operators seem to turn a blind eye to it, yet they're just being robbed.

Anyone else noticed this practice?
