Affiliate Club Predatory Term in FAQ

The terms and conditions at Affiliate Club have changed, but this alert is in regards to their FAQ. There will be a followup about the terms changes, but with the amount of changes there are - it will take a bit to analyze. For now, the FAQ clearly states that you must be an ‘Active Affiliate’ in order to receive commissions. No details on what that means except that they can refuse commissions to affiliates.

How long will I receive commission on players that I refer? At AffiliateClub.com, you You will earn commission on your players receive commissions as long as you are an “Active Affiliate” (please see Terms Conditions for the lifetime definition of the players. Active Affiliate)


FROM TERMS:
1.4 “Active Affiliate” means:
1.4.1 Casino: an Affiliate who sends at least 1 (one) new active player per month that will wager 100 EUR; or has a wager amount of 100 EUR performed by one or more players.
1.4.2 Poker: an Affiliate who sends a player that will generate a minimum amount of Rake of 5 EUR.

Summary:Sorry, Affiliate Club, but this term is not good for affiliates. It is an effort to steal affiliate commissions and nothing more

Affiliate Club,

This is extremely predatory. Do you intend to enforce the term retroactively on your existing affiliates? Please let us know ASAP. I was planning to start promoting your new casino, Slots Club, but now I may actually skip this and take down Casino Club while I'm at it.

I don't think it's fair to base affiliate commissions on how well YOU (Affiliate Club) can convert and retain players.

If an affiliate has a base of players (or even one player) that generates decent revenue each month, you should pay the affiliate each month -- period. You should not base payment on whether YOU are able to convert the current traffic an affiliate is sending.

Please think about this; I hope you'll revert to your original T&Cs.

Nobody wants to work with a program that has predatory terms and conditions!

From a quick examination of the terms, I would assume that this is a retroactive change.

Reason: There is no date attached to show when this term is 'live'. Non-retroactive terms always have a date associated.

I am talking with Affiliate Club and hope to have a statement at some time about this change.

I talked with them yesterday and they were already internally discussing the term. The problem is, the term came 'down the pipe' from above. So, at this point I have no idea if the AM's even CAN get the term changed.

I have a standing request for a return of information... I'll try chatting again with them later this afternoon.
