Thailand's Constitutional Court has removed Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra from office over ethical misconduct related to a leaked conversation with Cambodia's former leader, Hun Sen. The court's decision has created political uncertainty, especially concerning the proposed casino legislation. The Entertainment Complex Bill, which seeks to legalize casinos in large-scale venues, now faces an uncertain future. Paetongtarn was a key advocate for the bill, and with her ousting, the plan is at risk of further delays. In the meantime, Deputy Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai is acting as caretaker leader while the parliament works toward selecting a new prime minister.
