Spain's Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling (DGOJ) has announced a €1.05 million grant to fund research projects addressing gambling-related harm. Open to Spanish public and private institutions and eligible non-profits, the initiative targets six key areas: early detection of problem gambling, social and psychological impacts, gender-specific effects, the intersection of gaming and gambling, structural design of gambling products, and broader societal impacts. Applications are due by June 18, 2025, with projects to conclude by June 30, 2026. This move aligns with Spain's broader public health strategy under the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs, and Agenda 2030.
