I have never pushed this group that much, but sent them clicks and fun players (that they couldn't convert to real money players). When they have changed their terms in the end of September, I pulled all of their links from my sites (so they got traffic from me until the end of September, that is one month) and today I got a love letter from them:

Dear Affiliate,

Following an overhaul of our Affiliate program it appears that your accounts have been inactive for over 3 months. Following this discovery we have made a decision of closing your affiliate account by the 2nd of November 2009.

We have overhauled our sites and the new site is live now on xxxhttp://www.netplayaffiliates.com
Our brands have been revamped which have resulted in better conversions across Bingos and Supercasino.

If you do wish to rejoin the program then please feel free to re-apply through our site and we will be happy to reconsider your application. Some of you might have more than one account with the same contacts, so please keep in mind this is only for accounts which have been inactive for over 3 months.

Kind regards
Shek

So if you don't have a real money player for 3 months, you won't get paid for your past players, and if you just send them clicks that they cannot convert, they will shut down your account (I guess if you have a player that is not playing for 3 months and you don't generate a real money player in that period, you are considered inactive as well.)

I won't say anyone that do not promote Netplay, that is your choice, but I hope the AGD's great serps ranking will help future affiliates to know more about this program when they are searching for this program.

Bye bye Netplay Affiliates, I won't cry a river for you. :p

Wow, what a ridiculous move. It costs an affiliate program literally nothing to keep an extra row in their database. Obviously this group doesn't really understand how casino affiliate marketing is supposed to work.

Needless to say, I won't be working with Netplay or any other program that pulls this sort of stunt. Thanks for the heads up, sipka! jackolantern

Hey, I got the same thing. I'd brought them a couple of players some while ago but nothing for a long time. They just don't, as Sipka points out, convert.

The part I like is "If you do wish to rejoin the program then please feel free to re-apply through our site and we will be happy to reconsider your application".

Who do they think they're kidding?! I mean, really?

If a program says that they have "costs" regarding inactive affiliates, then I cannot vision anything else than a picture where someone is trying to sort columns in an Excel table and he is calling it "affiliate management" :p

NetPlayTV- Clarification

I do have to admit this move seems drastic and for some affiliates seems out of the blue, but this step has only been taken after careful consideration of the program and is in the best interest of all parties involved. The last thing I want to do is to upset the affiliates who we’ve had a good working relationship with, and if you received this email from us erroneously, I do apologise for this.
I am personally an affiliate myself but under my current capacity I know I have to make decisions which might seem like they are not in the affiliate's favour.
In the last 6 months we have tried to "rejuvenate" the gone away affiliates with various offers but it seemed like nothing was grabbing some of the affiliate's attention. We had thousands upon thousands of affiliates who signed up to our program and didn’t promote us. We have thousands of affiliates who didn’t even have any recollection of signing up to NPA. We have thousands of affiliates who would claim to be an affiliate but provide us with gibberish as their email addresses and contact details. We have affiliates who consider our emails as spam and decide to either block us or add us to their spam box, which is detrimental to our overall email deliverability. Do we see any value in keeping these affiliates within our systems? No!
Our aim moving forward is to carry on growing our affiliate program with affiliates who are willing to grow with us, affiliates who show interest in our brand, affiliates who can see value in working with us. Having your name in the book but not promoting is as good as not being in the book at all and that is what we are trying to minimise.
Any affiliate who did get back to me after the email was sent off has been kept on the program and will continue doing so, because it shows that we have a communication channel open and we are willing to work together. So by all means just drop me a line and I will make sure that the program continues for you with all the support that you may require to make this work.
I hope this helps to clarify this situation
Regards

Hello! T&Cs Updated, Accounts Reactivated

Hi all,

I'd thought I'd take the time to "officially" announce myself as the new Head of Affiliates at Netplay TV, looking after the affiliate programme for the bingos.co.uk, and the TV gaming brands SuperCasino.com and ChallengeJackpot.com.

As an earnest of the direction in which I intend to move my programme, I have arranged for Term 8.4 (i.e., one about inactive affiliates) to be removed. Also, I have ensured that all previously-closed accounts are now reopened.

Affiliate Guard Dog may be busy soon (sorry for the extra workload!), as I'm hoping to make other changes to the T&Cs to help you better promote our unique combination of bingo and TV gaming brands over the coming month or so. Some of these changes will be quite far-reaching, whereas others will be tweaks here and there.

If you've worked with me in my previous incarnation at Market-ace, you will know that I like to work hard in order to give you what you need to boost your commissions. I look forward to working with friends old and new to achieve this.

Should you have questions about your existing Netplay Affiliates Account, please contact me directly on jonathan.mann @ netplaytv.com, phone me on 0207 819 9130, or add me on MSN: berkibark @ yahoo.co.uk.

I really appreciate your feedback, so email me your thoughts...:D

Keep in touch!

Cheers,
Jon

Hi Jonathan,

Good luck with this - I think you've taken on a lot here.

For my own self, I brought a few players to Bingos.co.uk a while back - but you've got a bit of a mountain to climb. The online bingo market in the UK is getting more and more saturated and you'll be hard pressed to get people to come back to your program.

Nevertheless, good luck with this, mate. I hope you turn it around for NetPlay.
