Isai Scheinberg, the founder of PokerStars, surrendered to US authorities in January this year after being arrested in Switzerland last June as a result of the US charges.
Today the founder of PokerStars pledged guilty in a New York court and is faced with a maximum sentence of up to five years in prison.
He was indicted in federal charges of illegal gambling, bank fraud and money laundering.
