It really burns me when I see either affiliates, casinos or affiliate programs try and steal business from a forum by only posting to benefit themselves. It's like they think you're supposed to pay for your server, hosting, domain, and work your butt off so that you have traffic and people here.... and they can pay nothing and do nothing but try and steal your people. That's how I see it when people come in and only post to benefit themselves.

I'm constantly battling spam at our forum, and it really gets on my last nerve sometimes.

I completely agree with you. I don't care so much about the links, but I really do care that programs come in without being certified (which is free, BTW) and try to pimp their program.

It can make folks think we are happy to have them here and I don't want anyone suckered into that.

It's not just the links for me either. I just like to see people that are posting, especially with links, to post in *some* other theads as well and not just take..but give a little too by participating. Even if it's just a little posting, and participation in conversations.

Give and take... spammers just take.
