Hello,

What in your opinion is currently the best WP theme to be using for affiliate marketing (iGaming niche)?

Thanks.

After all, I'd say that the best WP theme is your own. up to 1k for nice unique design and up to 1k for dev and extra feature. If not, then Poka, Mercury, Vegas.

I am not sure that using WP completely is a good option itself in the end as the online casinos will appreciate more if you build your own website and do it yourself and present yourself to them. They will respect the affiliate more and offer better deals. The reason is that you are not just selling the template. You are selling the position on your website for the online casinos to want to be there and they know is something is a WP website and suddenly you will notice that their attitude towards an affiliate will change dramatically

All the commonly used iGaming WP themes look great at first, but usually turn out shit when you try to work in the backend. They are usually heavy, slow, and can never compete with custom built sites.

I've used Poka before and it was pretty good for a simple site, but not sure it would offer the same value for a more elaborate platform. Heard Mercury especially gave people headaches when they started using it.

If you don't have money to invest (around 10k on average) in a properly developed website, you should have a good development company customise a WP theme for exactly what you need.

I agree that WP themes in the end are actually shit to work with in the backend and are very slow infact. Try to start out yourself maybe just for starters. Check online and you will tons of information on how to actually build a website on your own from scratch

If you want a CMS website, then WordPress is the most popular option. There are heaps of themes and plugins, both free and premium, that one can use and style to make a unique looking, and fast, website.

If you have the budget, then have a custom theme created, but remember that if that developer disappears you may struggle to find someone to keep up the development of the theme as WP brings out new updates.

There lays the problem with most bespoke WP theme's.

If they've implemented coding which isn't backward compatible, or... WP makes some code redundant, you'll need to update the theme accordingly. Which, can be a costly investment.

Personally, while I love WP, if I was to pay for a bespoke solution, I'd be steering clear of WP. Instead, opt for a totally bespoke site, which uses its own CMS etc., etc.

I agree here with AussieDave who speaks the truth here about the bespoke websites that will no better in the long run as the WP will most likely not be backward compatible

Luckely I have a genuine interest for coding and webbdesign so I create all my themes my self. 99% WP.

WP it self is not slow but some themes that are mentiond here can be a pain in the as - specually if not up to date. Also plugins such as Yoast can slow down both the front-, as well as the backend. For plugins, there are luckely filters that can be used to speed up sites and if none is found - I create one my self.

Cons on every theme, no matter whos is that you probably need to contact a 3d part to fix issues or update the theme.

I do not think WP themes are bad, just that there are so many and the ones with a Casino niche usually do not bring so good income to the creaters that they have a super good support and update/upgrade their themes to often with new fuctions etc.

I have to point out I'm old school of me, working in real time via FTP, updating my sites using Notepad++ - So I am not super professional at this but for the sake of challenges and fun - I LOVE THIS!
