Best Casino Partners - Open and soliciting players?

According to a player over at CasinoMeister, this group is still open for business:
Vegas Technology Casinos -- The non-EH Group sites continue to solicit business

Well I for one will be pretty pissed-off if this is true!
I promoted them for a year but have never received even 1 cent of the commission I am due from them.
I was told they were closing down - game over.

Anyone know what's going on??

As far as I knew they weren't closing down the casinos per say. Just the affiliate program and not accepting further sign-ups. Players who already held accounts - it's business as usual.

That was my understanding too KK. Although, to be honest, I only trusted the EH group... the other group wasn't totally on the 'up and up' from what I gathered.

SERIOUSLY PISSED AS WELL IF THIS IS TRUE!!
I am still owed over 2k from before the shut down - Even though John (former manager) Promised - Gave his Word and Swore that I would recieve commissions due. I never recieved a frikin dime. Since then I have tried a hundred different e-mails and avenues to attain these funds but had doors slammed in my face at every turn. :emoticon-0183-swear

That's pretty nasty stuff, and pretty stupid too. I can't understand why an affiliate program would want to sabotage their image, as well as their affiliates, in order to gain short term profits? How ridiculous.

That behaviour is criminal, and its a shame that it can't be punished under law. If the law protected affiliates, as well as players, then casinos would think twice about ripping anyone off.

I understand your disdain but how is it criminal? Breach of what? Contract? Which jurisdiction? This business has always operated on a hand shake (digi-signed documents aside).

What upsets me is watching the rats eat each other (programs ripping off affiliates, casinos ripping off players) in some cases - as the ship sinks instead of hearing a clarion call for unity, courage and action.

Down the plank with 'em. Take names, kick ass and never let them back on board - ever. Shame their faces and their names and their linked-ins and their dirty little circles of friends. Everyone is entitles to one business mistake, but if this stealing of your earnings is not a simple massive mis-communication, then chase these rats to the gates of hell and extract your good name for ever having promoted them - take a harder look at whom you are promoting now and get on with the business of business.

Hey, they might have lost the email database that had your affiliate name on it, and EH might want to go down in history as the guys who were NOT thieves, ever. Jerk the license tomorrow or forever be shamed as the double up poker fools who just didn't know how to do it.

Even in hind sight.

This business has always operated on a hand shake

My Dad had an engineer company he started back in the 50's. From then to the early 70's he'd cut million dollar deals just on a hand-shake with the likes of Ford, Holden etc..etc - back then if anyone reneged on their word they'd be shamed then run out of town.

Fast forward to our industry.
Take Betfair...they screwed up a promo, it was their fault. However before they realised it they, accepted players wagers. When they figured out their massive stuff up they refused to honour winnings. That's about as rogue as it gets. But like Virtual Casino Group their still in business.

What upsets me is watching the rats eat each other (programs ripping off affiliates, casinos ripping off players) in some cases - as the ship sinks instead of hearing a clarion call for unity, courage and action.

Instead of the heavy weights in the gaming industry standing up and publicly voicing their objections, it turns its head, throws on the blinkers and STFU.

And hell, anyone who speaks out about questionable activities of a popular affiliate manager, program or gaming venue in the clique, be prepared to have your name dragged through the mud, tarred feathered and shot!

Everyone is entitles to one business mistake, but if this stealing of your earnings is not a simple massive mis-communication, then chase these rats to the gates of hell

Being an affiliate or a player is like living in topsy turvy world.
Integrity, honesty and ethics are generally just white noise thrown around to make things sound good - not too many embrace it, least of all uphold and act on it!

The reason I don't go to conventions is I can't be bought with a couple of drinks. I don't take too kindly to wankers blowing smoke up my backside or pissing in my pocket trying anything to make me believe their my best mate...But it seems a lot have no isssue with this.

Mate this mate that, fact is these people are employees of the gaming venues/programs...etc...etc...Their loyalties lay with their employer not you.

Apart from a few decent apples most will say and do anything - some I dare say would sell their own grandmothers. But it seems a large majority of affiliates etc...etc still consider these people their best friends, when 9 times outa 10 they'd sell you out in a heartbeat.

With all the stealing and lies, unethical cross marketing and all the other BS synonymous with our industry of late, I'm not holding onto much hope that things will improve. If anything the industry in the not too distant future will implode (if it hasn't started already), spelling game over!

Yeah, it's a mess. But it is an industry in transition and has always been a sort of 'shadow land'. In fact the whole world economy is in flux and not by accident. So it's just a reflection of the macrocosm to some degree I suppose.

The AGD mission is starting to gel in my head, sorry I am a bit daft sometimes - but it is still a little mushy around the edges. I was looking at Andy's blog and he talks about Common Law there.

Is there a "pro-social" way to deal with this crap if it is what it looks like just below the surface of the mud with Vegas Tech?

TBH i only trusted the EH group to. Always listed them and recommended them to my subs.

Now ive been waiting a few months for my final payment, John kept promising he would send it out, but now wont respond to me for the last month,
